Fable II
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Oct 21, 2008
An action-oriented role-playing game set 500 years after the original Fable, this sequel starts players out in the role of a street urchin destined for greatness.
Fable III, what do you want?
the thing about the fable games in general is that they never deliver on the promises that they make ....
hmmm well since fabld 2 is just fable 1 any ways and since they have pretty much that forumla right now they need to add in all that stuff they promised fable 1 would be....I would think since they have the game they have now down they could just reuse what they've learnt and then make the game they promised what 6 years ago now?
I basically want from Fable 3 what I wanted from Fable 2 which were things I wanted to improve from Fable 1 - be longer and more difficult.
Prior to it's release I heard that Fable 2 was more difficult and longer then Fable 1, but I'm pretty certain I got through the main story quicker in F2 then I did F1.
If they could make co-op not suck that too would be good.
Better co-op.
No more damn bugs or glitches.
Maybe something that spans generations like you play as the parent then you play as the child.
"I want there to not be a Fable 3."Agreed.
Well. Kinda. I mean, I'd probably be happier knowing that Lionshead have a steady job going, and Fable only helps in that respect, so I want there to be a Fable 3 but I don't want to play it. Ever.
I really like the fable games. I like how Fable 2 improved on the original while not changing the premise too much. I have other games for huge epic open world RPGs, I think a more linear and condensed experience is refreshing sometimes. Most of my complaints with Fable 2 are actually technical. The 360 just can't handle it. Fable 3 needs to scale back, optimized more, or be optimized and released for the PC so I can take advantage of my superior hardware. ;)
"What are some things he lied about in Fable 2?"Yes mister, everything that wasn't in the game, every flaw and every single thing he cut out because he wasn't a true genius.
Everything that was promised for Fable 1 and 2 but never actually made it into the game.
In all seriousness though, Fable 2 was a pretty good game. I think they just need to tweak what they have now, and not try and go too overboard with the "innovations"
"A final boss fight."Big, bad-ass, crazy, over the top armor like in Fable 1."Big, bad-ass, crazy, over the top armor like in Fable 1.20 more hours of gameplay. At least.Replace dog with mini map. That about covers it for me. I don't care about bugs and technical crap too much, 'long as the game is playable."
- Longer game
- More ways to expand on your character besides the three styles of combat (maybe, for example, acrobatics allowing some Assassin's Creed like scaling of buildings? )
- Combat doesn't need to be more complicated, but more context sensitive. The original plan for Fable II was to have it be much more so.
- Satisfying story ALL the way through
- More meaningful NPCs
- Better co-op, maybe 3 or 4 player too
- Expand on everything else
"Im hoping that they will jump back to the medieval times, the period for fable 2 was alright but i miss the awesome armor and swords in the first game. "yea...me want armor and a bow
More animal companion types
Streamlined UI (and faster)
More weapon augmentation
Moral choices create different gameplay paths
Treasure with treasure maps and/or clues (find clues to locate treasure, item from treasure can give dog scent etc)
Slightly larger world
Greater variety of enemies
A more cohesive co-op experience
A ranked hero system that means something - offline meta game and hero rankings to compare with your friends, town crier and or posters tease how friends are doing
Upper body inertia to bend into turns - get rid of the stiff body on turns
The female not to look like a scary body building man when you upgrade physique. I mean the female face is jacked up w/ a lazy eye, but when you add that man body on top of it, it's freaking terrifying. Also I want to be able to completely free roam, eventhough they say your aren't restricted to paths, you sort of are in some way. I would like the dog to have some sort of powers.
I just want Fable 3 to be longer than Fable 2 and maybe Fable 3 could be a little more ... [more]
for reals. I usually don't think games are too easy, but that was. AND it was short.
Wow, time to bring out all those complaints I had. I loved the game, but the potential was bigger than the final result.
Let's start with gameplay:
- The combat system used in Fable 1, with usefull blocking.
- Spells which actually does something.
- An upgrade system like in Fable 1, where you notice a difference.
- A real threat of dying instead of losing skill orbs
- An improved multiplayer. Seriously, it was nothing like I thought it would be, I want to be able to import MY character from my own save and have the same level of interaction in the world as my co-player.
- Drop the rag-doll effect.
- Like stated above; armor with different levels of protection
- Meaningful--
What's the point of a list, what I want is Fable 1 with multiplayer and current-gen graphics.
Less bugs and glitches. A practical inventory/menu system with a minimalist practical working HUD. Co-op that works, or else remove it, because not every bloody game today needs multiplayer. Remove the dog and golden trail of breadcrumbs and put the exploration and challenge back into the game. Either figure out a way to make the digging thing work, or get rid of it entirely. An ending would be nice too (preferably a positive one that answers all the questions the story raises), and an epic final boss battle. Ya know, all the things that Fable 2 SHOULD have had.
Pizza vendors, a frozen mackerel for a weapon, and a final boss fight against Rip Torn's disembodied head.
Seriously, I want a deeper storyline with a much more polished conclusion and I'd like for easier-to-see spells and emote icons. I had a hard time determining what the spell links were and what spells I was actually including, and all the action buttons on the bottom left hand part of the screen were nigh-unreadable.
I would like less annoying half-assed British accents. Get British people or just talk normal, none of this school-adaptation-of-A-Christmas-Carol-stuff.
I liked the Spire part of the Spire part, just not the un-fight part of it.
