An action-oriented role-playing game set 500 years after the original Fable, this sequel starts players out in the role of a street urchin destined for greatness.
For me, this is an RPG lite-- but that's really what I like about it. Someone at 1up said it was like "Oblivion for people that don't like Oblivion." That person is me. I like the IDEA of all the quests, the open world, etc. What I don't like about traditional RPGs is there is typically less action than in Fable, and more stats, HP, EXP, etc. I don't know, but there's something about Fable that just works for me as an RPG for a non-RPGer.

Oblivion is possibly the least linear game ever made, perhaps only second to Morrowind. Fable is very linear for an RPG series, to say that it is in anyway similar to Oblivion is like comparing Unreal Tournament to Call of Duty.
thats really the only thing thats stoping me from buying fable 2 , and its that im not getting the full game in the box and i know about the suspected day 1 patch. but atm im at University so i wont have live till like 9 weeks.
