Factor 5, LLC Forum

A recent rumour has emerged that states Factor 5 are still developing games, and that Silicon Knights are working on a Wii title.

Falafelkid, who has previously reported rumours that turned out to be true, has stated that troubled developer Factor 5 is still working on "current projects". He expects an official announcement before the end of the month.

I actually think there is some truth in this rumour. I recall hearing about them making the Star Wars games for the Play On Wii range, so perhaps they are simply finishing those up.  I think this could concern other titles also, most notably Kid Icarus Wii.

Perhaps Nintendo have supplied the team with a ample finance package after coming to the conclusion it's not a project they themselves can finish. The game is supposedly targeted for the western audience primarily. Of course, the project was also using a team that had grown very accustomed to creating games where flight is features heavily.

Who knows what that Silicon Knights game could be, your guess is as good as mine. Eternal Darkness 2?.

I'm thinking new Turrican. Kinda like how Sin & Punishment VC sales = Nintendo contracts Treasure for S & P 2, here it could be Turrican series VC sales = contracts Factor 5 for a fucking awesome 3D incarnation of the franchise. I'm imagining something like Jet Force Gemini with modernised controls and jetpacks as well as vehicles in a Battalion Wars 2 style (but much much better) engine.

Or eh, for a simpler description, Rebel Strike + Turrican + more awesomeness to the Rebel Strike parts that didn't quite work (on foot) :)
