Factor 5 is working on multiple unannounced titles for Wii, according to Factor 5 GmbH's CEO Achim Moller. The San Rafael-based Factor 5 Inc may have shut down a little while back, but it hasn't stopped the Germany-based Factor 5 team from continuing to develop.

Moller had previously stated that the studio will be working with "close friends", I have taken that to mean Nintendo, on the now well rumoured Icarus project.

Now, his LinkedIn profile has been updated, stating that "multiple unannounced" Wii games are in progress to be shown or released later this year.

My guess is all their best Star Wars games are being brought over to Wii, along with one or two surprises aside from Icarus.

I'm personally hoping for a Wii version of Star Wars RSIIl with souped up graphics and better constructed levels.

Nintendo Everything

It remains to be seen if the surviving Factor 5 has the talent, or it was the one that shut down that had the good dudes.

There's no Icarus... At least, I don't think we have anything more than fan desires to base it on after all this speculation.

There is however a third person shooter with running & flying involved, I think it was confirmed in a similar way to this...

RS games on the GameCube still look pretty damn good, if only developers did such strong efforts on the Wii as well.

That comment on Nintendo Everything is interesting, it would be quite fitting for Retro Studios to be making a new Kid Icarus, giving it a more adventure feel than what Factor 5 has been involved with, while they're doing a Star Fox as they're accustomed to space shooty things. If only.

I am definitely up for a good Star Wars game on the Wii.  I mean a good game, not the stuff we have seen recently.

Um, do they even have the licence for such games anymore? Don't EA hold that? KOTOR MMO? I guess it doesn't have to be exclusively licenced.

Edit: Why was this moved? I guess someone really dislikes the platform forums being used? Might as well delete them, they move everything off.

Force Unleashed is great.

Everything I saw about said average.  I just shuffled it down my list to the "clearance and cheap" section - $20 worth of fun, not $100.

I don't think licenses are exclusively for full properties nowadays.
"You get the Star Wars MMO license, you get the Star Wars RPG license, you get the Star Wars Rogue Squadron license, you get the ewoks license, etc..."

Was the San Rafael branch the one that brought us Lair? If so i'm not sure I want anything from them.

Everything I saw about said average.

Everything about it is average - Except for the controls. Force powers and lightsaber moves are for the most part gesture based, as are the QTEs. And all of that works very, very well.
Of course, Force Unleashed is your next average licenced action game with the Star Wars bonus. But the Wii version is the least average of them all. :)

I love Star Wars still (and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the Clone Wars series), but like Sonic, your patience gets tested.  If I find it cheap, as many Star Wars games end up being (over supply), the Wii version will be my choice.
