We are continuing to look into the issues people are experiencing with The Pitt for Xbox 360. As of now it looks like the file for the English version on Xbox Live was somehow corrupted. We are currently working with Microsoft to remove the existing file off of Live to prevent any further downloads. Our plan is to replace it with a new file as soon as possible. We hope to have another update for you shortly.

Bethesda Posts & Pulls Fallout 3's "The Pitt"

I'm planning on waiting to continue my Fallout3 game until they raise the cap anyway. I hit 20 before I even beat the main story arc... I know I'm close to the end but I refuse to continue until that cap gets raised...then I'll buy The Pitt and Brotherhood of Steel dlc and play through it all. Seriously though they'd make more money if they would have raised the cap first.
I was looking forward to playing it today. Oh well, I still the rest of Spring Break to play it. Hopefully they post it up again real soon.
"Has this been fixed yet?"I highly doubt it. They just took it down a few hours ago.
I´m not touching this until i see some reviews or impressions of it, the last DLC "Operation Suckerage" was horrible and in my opinion, not worth my money.
I got maybe 1 minute into The Pitt when i started to notice giant white Exclamation marks with red boxes around them floating around. I assumed this ment some kind of missing object. So I went and checked the forums. Seems people are getting a little deeper in and then just freezing up. Luckly I saved right before I went inside (and once inside). Hopefully this issue can be resolved today/tomorrow. Was looking forward to this DLC =(
In Soviet Russia content downloads you!
Er, what?
Srsly, since I've yet to play Op: Anchorage, and since I lack the Softy Points to get this anyway, this piece of news is fine by me.
Reminds me of the time when GameTap put out the wrong version of Sam & Max Season 2 Episode 2. There were bugs and glitches everywhere, sound wasn't working, pictures were just black boxes. It was a mess. They fixed it in about an hour though.
These addons are retarted. Its like playing wow, where you don't level your character at all. I already have all the best armor and weapons... and thousands of bottle caps. Ive invested a lot of time getting awesome, let me get some return on my f-ing investment.
Lots of stories like this recently, I find it amusing, mostly because it's usually stuff I didn't care to buy myself. What was that CryEngine game put out on Steam recently where they accidentally put out an alpha instead of the finished game? Lots of delayed DLC on 360 recently. Companies cutting QA or something? Unwise.
OMFG YES! I haven't been paying attention to the release on this at all, but I was kinda wondering when it was coming out. I'm coming to the endgame on my second playthrough of Fallout 3 now, so now is a good time to get some more content. Having the DLC with the level cap raised would help more, since I'm maxed out and totally wasting every kill I get at the moment.
Edit: Ka-ching! Had 800 spare points, as it turned out. Glad I saved them for a rainy day.
It's always great when someone spells that wrong.
There is a DLC coming that has a new level cap and is a substantially large addition. This one is similar to the other in that you have to sneak in as a slave so you don't have your gear. They stated there will be something nice at the end in the form of new stuff, just like the last one.
I actually forgot this was being released this week, although it looks like Bethesda did too.
@ Escape Penguin: I actually wouldn't care, except Bethesda have already stated that they *are* raising the cap, so I feel like in the meantime, I'm wasting XP by continuing the game without the ability to collect more. I'm assuming the last Fallout 3 DLC isn't going to add enough quests to actually get you from level 20 to 30, without just heaping on the XP as a finale to the new last quest of the game.
How does this shit get passed certification at Microsoft?!
Oh wait... that's right... they NEVER tested it.. they were just like.. yeah okay, release it to MarketPlace.
MS always praises how their certification teams test EVERYTHING before it can be released and has to match 291 requirements --- obviously that never applied here.... once again.
This isn't the first time MS did this.
I checked out the Bethesda blog and while no updates - reading some of the comments people left demanding compensation are worth the read.
Looking forward to The Pitt even if OA was a bit of a letdown. But I loved Fallout and, aside from horse armor equivilant, would get any FO3 DLC.
I guess somebody forgot to run ol' crc32.exe.
Remember kids, torrents are self-correcting! ;)
And yes, if I owned F3 right now I'd be chomping at the bit for this DLC. Probably gonna wait for the final DLC pack with the good ending!
if anyones wondering what the glitches were i made this video, its pretty lamee
