    So I bought Fallout 3 and was in love the moment I stepped out of the vault and looked around at the landscape.
    Now, I've since completely finnished Fallout3 (With the exception of the crappy zurtog beta space ship or whatever that  DLC's called BECUASE of how crappy it is.) and I've been wondering about buying the original Fallout that inspired the third one.

    I bought it on gog.com and loaded it up. watched the start video: "War... War never changes." etc.
    Made my character and started the game.

    I think I've been spoiled with good gameplay mechanics and fantastic graphic's, because I just couldn't get into it.
    So because I never got to enjoy Fallout when it was released at a less spoiled age and am now unable due to my now spoiled self being too far gone to do so.
    I'd like to hear YOUR stories of your first time in bed with the original.
    I don't want people trying to convince me to play it, it ain't for me, I just want to hear your stories of euphoric pleasue and/or dismay at playing this game in 1997.
    What did you get giddy about? what annoyed you about it? What kept you up at night thinking about it? Or made you want to snap the disc in half? Everything you want to tell me.

    Nothing in particular comes to mind but I always loved the phrase "Radscorpion exploded like a blood sausage."

    I prefer the second one, it feels more refined to me.

    Bought both old ones a few years back, and I had to play the second one first. At the time, the first was just too old for me. Being able to become a pornstar in the second game stood out to me. I thought it was really neat that almost every aspect of the game was optional. You could play the game however you wanted.

    @FunExplosions:
    Being a sadistic person to myself I'm thinking about getting the second one too. I mean in terms of control's, is it MASSIVELY improved? Or just brushed up here and there?
    Would you recommend I get the second one even with the knowledge that I don't like the first one for it's control's?

    I consider the third one to be too different from the first two to make a comment like that myself. F3 is still a great game in it's own right though. I just preferred the combat and talking heads.

    @crusnchill: I bought the Fallout pack with all 3 in it (1, 2, and tactics) and I can't get into them either. I see what is happening here, but it is just too dense for me or something.
