I didn't because i want to have the Megaton house and i am a good person
Fallout 3
Game » consists of 45 releases. Released Oct 28, 2008
In Bethesda's first-person revival of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG series, the player is forced to leave Vault 101 and venture out into the irradiated wasteland of Washington D.C. to find his or her father.
Did you blow up Megaton? Why?
I didn't because... I liked the people. Even that crazed lunatic praising the bomb! That and I didn't want to give him what he wanted ;)
Not the first time. But I did the second time because I didn't do it the first time.

"I let them live because I wanted to finish that stupid survival guide."Even if you blow up Megaton, you can still do the Survival Guide. SPOILER(I guess) Moira becomes a ghoul so you just have to go to the Underworld instead of Megaton
I didn't. In most games with good/bad play styles I just generally go the good route the first time around, bad second, and if I do a third play through I choose the options that are the most interesting to me.
"me too... Those lousy fucks turned their nose on me one too many times and I let those ferels run wild.No. In fact, when I realized what was really going on, I brought hell to Tenpenny Tower in every way the game would let me.
"
"Yeah after getting some people to move out with speech, I went to Tenpenny's balcony and chainsawed his head off. It was awesome. I got positive karma too!No. In fact, when I realized what was really going on, I brought hell to Tenpenny Tower in every way the game would let me.

I didn't the first time...
Before I finally bought Fallout 3, I was actually looking forward to blowing up Megaton, but I quickly fell in love with the place and everyone living there.* *Megaton Spoilers(?)** I reported Mr. Burke to Lucas Simms, and that resulted in Mr. Burke killing Lucas :(. I unleashed my baseball bat on Mr. Burke. The bastard! (At least I've now got Lucas' hat) But I haven't defused or detonated the bomb yet (got carried away with the man quest), though I plan on defusing it.
I did, because I was given the option. I saw no worthwhile reason not to. No decent benefits. I also already killed everybody due to them attacking me after I murdered the annoying novelist. I just couldn't take it anymore, she was always so happy. What the fuck is there that makes her so happy? Her personality was so forced and droll. Clearly put there to annoy me. She is what Vats is all about.
What every NPC is about. Head popping goodness!
"Karmum said:Harsh."I did, I mean come on -- the nuke! That and it gave me an achievement. >_>"You are a filthy whore."
i have like 4 different games and i disarmed the bomb in all 4 of them. i don't quite know why. i guess i like megaton better than stupid Tenpenny tower.
"I didn't. In most games with good/bad play styles I just generally go the good route the first time around, bad second, and if I do a third play through I choose the options that are the most interesting to me."It seems that Ravi Drums and I have something else in common. I do that too.
First playthrough I didn't.
second playthrough...YOU BET YOUR SWEET ASS I BLEW THEM AWAY!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH *deep breath* MUAHAHAHAH!
Actually I'm going to assassinate all of Tenpenny as well, one at a time. And to think Rockstar gets shit for questionable content in their games. GTA4 is weak compared to this.
I blew up megaton because that survival guide writing bitch made me do all that dangerous crap, and I thought it was the best way to get back at her.
Than I found out she didn't die, and I was soooooo pissed!
I liked Megaton. In a land full of hostiles, a friendly place is good. Plus there are a lot of missions, shops, and even a house that you can get over there.
No reason to blow up a safe place just for some money that you can get anyway
First thing i did when i got to megaton was break into the armory and get some guns.
Then i visited Moira, and via IRC pressure, her head was in the sink within minutes of my arrival.
No i didnt blow the nuke, but i did kill every last motherfucker in that town.
"I did, but I regret it. Everyone in Tenpenny Towers is boring and lifeless, even by Beth's standards."Yeah I agree with ya. My second time through and I'm playing evil (first time through was neutral). Tenpenny tower sucks. I still go back and visit the Megaton crater. Hell Megaton was the best town in the game. The most like previous Fallout towns than any other "town" in the game.
I loved Canterbury Commons and only wished it was bigger. If anything dissappointed me about Fallout 3 it was that the towns felt shallow and boring. Playing through the game I was expecting to come across a shanty town big enough to be used as another base of operations. Something the size of Vault City or something. Anyway, once you choose a side in Megaton, that's where you stay for the rest of the game. So much potential wasted.
I killed them because they where all assholes to me so I got pissed and blew them up. Then when I saw how scummy the people at tenpenny towers where to the ghouls I wanted to let the ghouls in to kill them but I couldnt figure out how so I just killed the ghouls. I wish I got to let those ghouls in though.
