In Bethesda's first-person revival of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG series, the player is forced to leave Vault 101 and venture out into the irradiated wasteland of Washington D.C. to find his or her father.
So, just by judging from the pics, graphically it looks like oblivion without any green and longer view distance. Granted its the 360 version but I cannot see that much difference. (which is actually kinda good, might run well on my aging beast)
The character design level looks very similar to Oblivion as well, not bad, just an observation.
The choose your skills part actually is kinda looks like a throw back to the first two games. (prettier though)
Thankfully no super close up of a persons face when you talking to them. (i hated that about oblivion)
Wow, I think I mentioned oblivion more than fallout in this post. I guess this game really just might be oblivion with guns and a fun target system.
Fallout 3 looks like a great game. But it doesn't look like a great sequel to Fallout 2. Look at the dialogue and compare it to past Fallout games. Sure, there are several options, but that's it. In Fallout you had some completely pointless dialogue that was just there for the sake of giving personality to a character. It was useless in that it didn't actually progress the game, but it was vital to make the world seem.. real.
I'll only hope that I can ask about the tree growing out of that mutants head in Fallout 3. But my anticipation for the game is zilch, I'll maybe be surprised but I think what'll happen is "Well, what'd I tell ya?". Good game, just not a Fallout game.
