3 minutes ago my system froze on me just after I tried to climb some rocks after killing the geckos at the beginning of the game.
I took one wrong step and somehow got flung like 50 feet into the air and took absolutely NO fall damage.
Lets hear about some other fun bugs!

Fallout: New Bugs
seconds after I go into options from the startup window the startup window crashes. Then the game crashed just after in intro was over and the character creator starts. I had to alt tab out and restart (the turned off vsync incase and skipped the intro). That's what happened for the first hour.
That sounds more awesome then anything." no real bugs for me except cheyenne's eyes were floating on the side of her head. "

" The sound seems glitched to me on the PC. I have a center channel, but the rear left and right seem to be totally dead. "Fallout 3 was like that for me. Haven't tried New Vegas though.

There is still a lot more time to put into it though.
Are you really that surprised about the bugs? You should know better. The real ones to blame like the guys said are the MS guys who ALLOWED this game to hit shelves this broken.
Asked the same question in a different thread. It really is unbelievable to me that these things are happening to a very high-profile release like this. My comp runs Fallout 3 on Ultra with no lag, yet this game on Low is like playing Crysis on my sister's laptop.
2 hours in and nothing wrong so far, but maybe installing to my 360's hardrive had something to do with it.
Don't know if this really counts, but after getting the first Blue Star Cap, the guy who talks to you, I forget his name, the camera decided to go inside his head. Let me tell you, it is terrifying seeing the mouth move from inside a dude's head.
Couple freeze-ups and loading screens are beginning to get ridiculously long. Doesn't really bother me though. No game ever crashed more for me than Morrowind and I still consider that my favorite game ever. I guess I just got used to saving constantly.
In one particular sitiuation, in which you have a choice in how to solve it, the random, unnamed town NPC's sometimes act like you made the other decision.
I had my companion use a stimpack, but she still walks like her leg is broken.
Funniest bug was the comedian in the casino in Freeside doing his act with his back to the crowd.
Well, for me all of a sudden my jump button shot my gun. Made it interesting cause I was walking around an outpost and just started hitting the space bar and it started shooting people. They didnt like it and neither did I, so reloaded it, same thing, had to restart the game. This has been the most annoying bug for me so far.
Damn shame too, right now I am at a 7/10 on this game because of the bugs. This coming from someone who played FO3 through 3 times so its definitely not for lack of loving Fallout that I am sitting at this score so far.

Are you alright? An internet hug?
Yeah I'm getting issues...I have a beefy pc but man the frame rate drop sucks in intense fights and when u get outside..I luv the story so far and the voice acting is great..Patch this game ASAP..10 hrs of playing, 4 crashes and some mission bugs...read jeffs review, sums it up...I know he reviewed the 360v but yeah the PC version has major issues 2
No bugs for me yet. I installed and cleared system cache before I even started the game. I've been playing for at least 3-5 hours on Very Hard Hardcore.
If someone here are experiencing long load times and frequent framerate issues after a short or long periode of gameplay time, just reload the game. This is caused by a major memory leak in the game, and i believe the devs are on, or maybe done with it, so they can release a fix as soon as possible.
" @EpicSteve: That was actually in, and it's still in, Oblivion and Fallout 3. Just turn on subtitles, if it's not already on, and you're good to go. Or is this another issue only for Fallout: Bug Vegas? "I got subtitles. However, despite countless hours between Oblivion and Fallout 3 I never encountered a voice bug.
" @FritzDude said:Oblivion on PC and PS3, and Fallout 3 on PS3, I bet I ran into that 'missing dialog audio' glitch about once per session. I felt like it was something I did. Really discouraging." @EpicSteve: That was actually in, and it's still in, Oblivion and Fallout 3. Just turn on subtitles, if it's not already on, and you're good to go. I was playing a little last night and kept seeing objects floating over the surfaces they were supposed to be sitting on, geckos clipping through the ground, whole groups of bighorners standing in the same spot overlapping each other and enemies showing green on the radar. I also kept getting stuck in the stupid invisible walls up in the hills I was trying to sneak over.
I ran into a group of powder gang members, all showing friendly, and they screamed "There you are" and started pelting me with dynamite, never turning red on the radar once.
I've had a lot of clipped enemies, that is, doing that freaky twitching thing with half of their bodies in the ground. About three hours play time, it's happened four or five times. No big deal, really. A few of those times it was just the bodies of enemies I'd already killed. Other than that, no real problems. One odd thing, though: when you've got your weapon out, sometimes your arm is high or low, depending (it seems) on how close you might be to nearby terrain. If you open the Pip-Boy, it will appear wherever your arm was, either high or low or, occasionally, not at all. I've had to back away, get my arm in the right position, then re-open the Pip-Boy. A little irritating, but again, not a huge issue.
I've been having this common glitch now where my arms are above my head and they'll glitch back into position to aim again... It's really annoying as hell and so common that it's just the norm now.
*edit*
Forgot another bug. When I holster my weapon I can still aim. And when I do that, there's a thick black horizontal line that tears across the screen. It's really ugly.
" Don't know if this really counts, but after getting the first Blue Star Cap, the guy who talks to you, I forget his name, the camera decided to go inside his head. Let me tell you, it is terrifying seeing the mouth move from inside a dude's head. "That's hilarious!
Tried to VATS two people in a dark room at Primm. I got stuck in VATs, Cancel with B didn't work, and no one could be targeted (it kept shifting the camera around like it was looking for the body parts of the enemy still). Lame.
I will still play the game, though. Just save a lot is the best advice I can give, because the actual substance of the game is plenty worth it.
16 hours in and i finally found my 3rd glitch, 2 minor glitches that only happened once or twice and were so amusing i kind of wish they happened more.
The new glitch, if it is one is a tad annoying and only happened in the basement portion of this warehouse place where you have to clear these mutants that use those stealthboy things and giant hammers, seems my character like to flail his fucking arms way up in the air, luckily it only happened 4-5 times during that long long mission, other then that i only came across the VATS glitch where you dont shoot, happened maybe twice and the amazing ground slam rocket air kill which AMAZING..
im not experiencing ANY game breaking bugs/glitches and not nearly as much as some people are talking about but then again alot of people seemed to of had alot of bugs/glitches in FO3 and honestly out of the easy 100+ hours i clocked in it i only came across maybe 2 glitches, as for vegas im debating about restarting because even though im 16 hours in i have only done 1 main mission and about 4-5 side missions, i have been far too busy just destroying innocent people, innocent camps and towns just destroying everyone and stealing everything LOL, i wanna go back and get a chance to quest from these places so i might restart today.
I'm playing the pc version and I have geckos popping out the ground. Not game breaking so no worries. What is a problem is a giant rad scorpion popping up in the middle of town. I tried running from the thing like three times. On the second try I even trying running him past all the npcs because they seemed so ready to help and the darn thing even killed them. Finally ended up reloading and porting home just to not cross his path. Anyone had this happen to them?
