Is anyone else loving how it's impossible to go anywhere in New Vegas without seeing anything that is somehow related to Fallout 1 or 2? Cassidy, Great Khans, quiz about NCR history, the music, it's all making me go insane.
It's almost like they're trying to get the hardcore RPG fans to like this game.

Fan Service (Dude, I remember that from Fallout 1/2!)
Is it wrong though? It's the same guys from Black Isle anyways. Nice little nod i guess.
You want to know who tried too hard? Bethesda stuffing poor old Harold in F3.
Fallout 2 was already super in-jokey considering it was only the second one in the series. Anyone else have the problem where you can tell there is a reference but it's been so long since you played the first two you have to check the wiki figure out what they are calling back to?
This all makes me so disappointed I've never played the first 2 Fallout games. Darn it, man. They need to bring them to XBLA. I'd totally buy them both.
Not a FO1/2 reference, but I came across a refrigerator with a skeleton and a fedora. It made me lol

" @TheGreatGuero said:They're about $12 for both on Good Old Games, and probably just as cheap on Steam or something else. I wanted to play them, as well, just never got around to devoting the time to them. They're also a slight deviation from Fallout 3, which was the first one I played, so I probably wasn't in the right mindset to play them when I tried the first time." They're great otherwise, I just keep getting annoyed at how you play them.
" @Bamsen:True but you aren't getting the real fallout experience if you don't take that perk ;pPretty sure that only triggers with the "Weird Wasteland" perk, though. "That guy is part of a quest triggered by some idiot running around at the base of the mountain.
