    This.

I loved the shit out of Fallout 3, which is why it's killing me that I'm not on my 360 playing right now. In fact, I'm going to go do that!

(That said, yeah, if you didn't like Fallout 3 then you'll definitely find nothing appealing in New Vegas)

It's quite similar to Fallout 3, it's just bigger and a little bit deeper as well.

But if Fallout 3 wasn't your cup of tea, I would recommend renting New Vegas instead of buying it.

I've been crashing constantly and have to play quick save to quick save. The game gets really choppy during scripting events for no reason on any visual setting. Yeah, it has to be one of the worst quality games I've played in a long time. The more I play it, the more i hate myself for buying the game. (edit) because I knew it would be that bad. I knew going in that bethesda + obsidian = I wouldn't be suprised if there was an ingame bug that wipes your hdd.

It is more Fallout with deeper mechanics.   There is a lot of new content; this game cannot justifiably be called a "glorified add-on".

I haven't crashed once. There are performance issues, but after fiddling with the settings I have found a very nice balance, and it's running very well now.
However, one of my friend's cannot start the game at all without crashing.

I have 11 hours of playtime on the 360 version, no crashes yet. I haven't even noticed any major bugs or glitches either, but I am pretty early on in the game still so there's plenty of time to encounter problems later.

I downloaded this on Steam and it is running fine for me.  About six hours in and the only problem is a choppy frame rate.  Other than that no bugs whatsoever.

Same.  Rolled over the 12 hour mark last night.

I loved Fallout 3 and therefore I love this game as well.  It's great to be back!

I'd be pretty interested to see crash statistics with regards to pc vs. 360.  Also, it would be interesting to break the 360 category down into the various flavors of 360s.  I've seen games crash on my launch 360 that didn't crash on my Modern Warfare 2 edition xbox.
