Now i'm not hating on Fallout at all but I was wondering if this game is pretty much fallout 3 with a better story etc.
So whats the go you like it?, to much like Fallout 3?
Fallout: New Vegas
Game » consists of 25 releases. Released Oct 19, 2010
The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.
For the people that have it.
um its pretty much fallout 3 with more of everything
i like the old setting better and the fucking radio station repeats even more than the f3 one did
however i can always go for more fallout
and fyi the game runs like shit on the pc so idk if that will effect ur decision
worth it if ur still hungering for fallout
" How you enjoyed Fallout 3 directly correlates to how much with will enjoy New Vegas. "This.
I loved the shit out of Fallout 3, which is why it's killing me that I'm not on my 360 playing right now. In fact, I'm going to go do that!
(That said, yeah, if you didn't like Fallout 3 then you'll definitely find nothing appealing in New Vegas)

It's quite similar to Fallout 3, it's just bigger and a little bit deeper as well.
But if Fallout 3 wasn't your cup of tea, I would recommend renting New Vegas instead of buying it.
I've been crashing constantly and have to play quick save to quick save. The game gets really choppy during scripting events for no reason on any visual setting. Yeah, it has to be one of the worst quality games I've played in a long time. The more I play it, the more i hate myself for buying the game. (edit) because I knew it would be that bad. I knew going in that bethesda + obsidian = I wouldn't be suprised if there was an ingame bug that wipes your hdd." @jams said:

It is more Fallout with deeper mechanics. There is a lot of new content; this game cannot justifiably be called a "glorified add-on".
I haven't crashed once. There are performance issues, but after fiddling with the settings I have found a very nice balance, and it's running very well now.
However, one of my friend's cannot start the game at all without crashing.
" Can you choose to play in the 3rd person like fallout 3 "Yup, seems to work exactly the same.
I downloaded this on Steam and it is running fine for me. About six hours in and the only problem is a choppy frame rate. Other than that no bugs whatsoever.
" I have 11 hours of playtime on the 360 version, no crashes yet. I haven't even noticed any major bugs or glitches either, but I am pretty early on in the game still so there's plenty of time to encounter problems later. "Same. Rolled over the 12 hour mark last night.
I loved Fallout 3 and therefore I love this game as well. It's great to be back!
