For me, I got the game a couple of days ago, have logged 11 hours and 50 minutes and have just reached the area immediately outside New Vegas, the Crimson Caravan company etc. I don't know if I'm progressing 'quickly' or not. Doesn't bother me, I have done a fair few side quests and am enjoying the game so far. Just curious as to how long it took everyone.

not entirely sure, but i'm at about 25 hours now so it was probably somewhere around 18-20.

Probably 30 hours. It was for the better since you get bombarded with quests up there.

28, wanted to get better weapons and money first

I've been playing for 13 hours and I still haven't reached it. I'm at Novac right now, just completed Come Fly With Me.

Around 7-8 hours.

I went as far south as I could right from the beginning, then west, then north, then vegas, then to Jacobstown far east, then back to the first mission. I like to just see how far I can get right from the start. So I technically got to Vegas about an hour in.

I've yet to enter the strip and I'm 22 hours in.  I'm trying to do every side quest I can find first.  So far I've just been getting quests from the same people I've been turning them in to.  I've yet to just wander aimlessly much.

" Just checked, I'm on 41. I like to explore, but I do believe it is time to collect up Boone and ED-E and book up the road. I do like to explore, it is because what I felt I did wrong in FO-3, just jamming on the story quests. "

I'm just about to head into the strip, around 24 hrs...

About 14 hours. Takes a good long time to get there.

About 18hrs, I avoided it for as long as possible as I don't like cities in games, I usually get lost.

Not too long. Maybe 5 or 6 hours. Possibly less. As soon as I got there, I explored as much as I could before I focused on the story missions.

About 14 hours. Exploring is fun, but I decided I'd better get on with the main story at that point.

About 3 hours, I stood on some mountain and all the deathclaws glitched out, so I got to go in the direct route.

Like maybe 8, maybe. Why in the world are people waiting 30+ hours to go to the strip? It was easily the most underwhelming and disapointing part of this game.

I think it was somewhere between 9-12.

I'm at 19 hours, and I saved just outside the REPCONN building, with the intent of making my trip to the strip next time I play. So by the time I get there, I'd say 20 hours.

10 hours.  then i had to send the game back.

Playing on hardcore mode, ive just logged 60hrs, finished 30+ missions, im at level 22 and have yet to step foot on the strip. I lost some hours doing missions too early so it required a little grinding but that doesn't bother me still having a blast.

First playthrough, about 4. I'm on my second, did alot more scaving and side quests I just hit it at about 10.

12 - 14 hours.  Though i did spend some time in Freeside before going in.

Took me about 10 hours playing on hardcore, but then I finished it in another 10-15 and powered through the rest unfortunately due to my schedule.

Not sure hours wise.
However I did not enter the strip until hitting level 27.

I'm up to 40 something and have just reached the gun runners. Maybe will head up that way when I get on after work today. I like to check out the surrounding area first - still feels like there is so much to see.

30 hours. I got distracted with weapons, small towns and side quests.

I would say somewhere between 7 and 8 hours. I was focusing primarily on the main quest line until I got to Vegas and only did maybe 1 or 2 side quests that I ran into on my way to the strip.

I've logged in around 60 hours, maybe more than that.  I have yet to actually go to the strip.  I've been in Freeside and have almost entered New Vegas proper but haven't done it yet.  I'm also level 23 or 24 and have gone though 5 companions quests already.  Seems I'm doing everything except what I'm supposed to be.

I'm 26 played... And I just reached Freeside. I guess I still have around 4 hours of sidequesting there before entering New Vegas proper. And I skipped the majority of sidequests in the Mojave Wastelands :)

2 hours if you skip a lot of stuff.....was thinking if you could just go to boulder city right away?

34 hours and I'm just at the entrance but I have a few quest to do -_-; 

around 60 before i took the train to it...

Around 10-15 hours. I was taking my time in the wasteland first.

48 hours played right now.
 
Haven't touched the strip, even though I have way more than 2,000 caps, can get a counterfeit passport or can get a real passport from The King.
