I was going to wait to get a new laptop to get this.  It happened, and I woke up this morning to the steam download for NV and Red Faction Guerrilla (No Keys left D: ) 
 
So far it's consisted of trying to get the game to work.  First it would CTD during the cutscene.  I followed a guide which erased the cutscene...and it CTD'd during the loading screen.  I followed a few more guides, and my computer kept saying,"This program is trying to alter etc etc" and the launcher would close and reopen.  Someone said backing up the game, deleting it, and reinstalling it through the backup would work.  Right now the launcher closes and reopens, and sometimes it'll crash.
 
There must be some Windows 7 people here that play it, what did you do to get it to work?  

I've played it on Win 7 and it installed and ran fine for me, no problems at all. I was just playing it on a friends machine because my rig is back home in Ireland and I'm far away from it.  I used a crack and update that I downloaded off the net cause I wanted to check out the sierra madre dlc, skid row I think. Don't know if that makes any difference, but I had a pretty much bug free experience playing the game.
