I picked up Fallout: New Vegas during the Summer Sale with two DLC packs. I'm currently living in Germany, where the pricing solution seems to be replacing the dollar sign with the euro symbol. Since all games are about 50% more expensive, you pounce on these sales when they come around. Anyway, I tried to start the game, and it wouldn't work. It was the low violence version, which I was OK with, but it turns out that you can only play the game in German in this version; I think the disclaimer should be worded just a little better. Now, my German is not nearly servicable to get me through a game like this (hell, I had some trouble with some of the choices in the options menu), so I basically pissed away 30 bucks.

Now to the question: I can now pick up an American version of the game for 20 bucks. Will it work on my Steam account, or will it just get kicked back since I already have the game? I know this is kind of obscure, but if anyone might have a clue, please let me know.
