I finished Fallout 3 main story (lot of sidequests unfinished tho), but never played any of the DLC. Was thinking about getting Falllout New Vegas... or would my time/money be better spent with the Fallout 3 DLC (MOthership Zeta, maybe)?
    thx

I actually just went through all the F3 DLC yesterday inorder to give my NV character a backround story, and I will say that they are pretty damn boring. Go New Vegas.

Your money would be better spent for New Vegas I think, but if you're into fallout, play all of it.

The only FA3 DLC packs worth a damn were Broken Steel and Point Lookout. I think you'd be better off playing NV.

New Vegas, though Point Lookout is a great piece of content.

Mothership Zeta was the weakest of the Fallout 3 DLC, and that's not really a debatable fact. I enjoyed Point Lookout and Broken Steel the most, with Point Lookout adding new characters and an interesting environment, and Broken Steel increasing the level cap among other nice features.

I've 100%'d Fallout 3 (with the exception of Mothership Zeta, which I never finished) and throughly enjoyed the 100+ hour experience. While I have yet to buy New Vegas, and I most definitely plan to, I have a friend that recently finished it on the 360 and thought it was very good. Moreover, my friend has also beaten Fallout 3 and the DLC, so he should be a good judge of New Vegas' new features and playability, and mentioned that his play-through was bug-free.

I'm in the same boat, sort of. Definitely planning to roll through the DLC before I give Vegas a shot.

just get Point Lookout and Broken Steel, those are the only two good ones.

New Vegas, of course, is better than most of the DLC and fallout 3 itself, but it might be hard to go back to F3.

Stick with Fallout 3 while your still have the feel of it and then head in to New Vegas to experience something new.

I agree with Laketown. Point Lookout and Broken Steel are the only two worth getting. But New Vegas is superior to them, so I would just go with that.

I agree with this as well. If you have tons of free time, it might be worth getting the DLC first, but for most people, I'd recommend skipping them and playing New Vegas
