I bought, played and beat Fallout 3 on the PS3 and felt that version was great but also a buggy mess that no amount of patches could fix and at times, threatened to kill my PS3. Since I won't have a new PC until 2011, I will be playing this game on the Xbox 360. I have to buy this game. Fallout and Las Vegas together is a winning combination, like 777 on a slot machine or a Natural Royal Flush in Video Poker.
What about the rest of you? Xbox 360? PS3? PC/Steam?
Fallout: New Vegas
Game » consists of 25 releases. Released Oct 19, 2010
The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.
What platform will you buy this game on?
PC unless something crazy happens. I have a 360 now, kind of. Gotta fix the X clamp, I hope that's all that's wrong with it.
I have Fallout 3 on both systems, and my Xbox versions was really buggy. But, that doesn't mean New Vegas will have the same issue.
I haven't thought about which system though.
It's a game I would rather play on PC but my PC can't run it so I will play on the 360 which I am completely OK with because Fallout 3 was awesome.
360.
I dont have a computer powerful enough to play it at top settings, 360 I'll atleast get decent visuals and frame rate.
I will most likely get it on the 360 i love my ps3 but i like to keep games or series on the same consoles and i got the first fallout on 360.
Probably 360 since that's what I had the last one on. That game was terribly buggy no matter what system you played it on. So much so I was never able to finish it.
360, I played Oblivion and Fallout 3 on my Xbox because my computer couldn't run them at the time, and I enjoyed the hard work it took me to get and complete everything in the game. If i start on PC now I think I would give into the temptation of console commands, so I rather not.
Probably 360 since I own Fallout 3 and all the DLC for it. I'm not opposed to the PS3 version, if someone had an extra one I'd gladly take it, it's mostly for uniformity among series. It would suck ass if I let a friend borrow F3 on 360 and then couldn't let them check out New Vegas cuz I picked it up for PS3. Just sayin.
360, thats what I had 3 on and it worked great. PS3 has bug issues, and i don't own a computer powerful enough to play it on.
360 for the moment since i don't have a very good gaming rig.
Eventually I'll get the PC version for mods. Probably during one of those crazy steam sales.
I have a really hard time playing First Person games on consoles. I'll be picking this up on PC. 10 bucks cheaper for a better looking smoother running version.
The only thing that's giving me pause is Xbox getting timed exclusive DLC. But even then, it's worth the wait to have the best version.
PC, i really need to brake habit of buying bethesda games on xbox, and then having to resort to VATS or melee weapons because i can't shoot shit on consoles
Upgrading my pc shortley so perhaps on that. However if I find for some reason the pc version to be problematic I'll be buying the 360 version afterwards as Fallout 3 on the 360 wasn't as a big a problem for me.
PC. My friend Justin just bought this game on 360 and I am amazed at how awful it is compared to the PC version. Everything is just easier to deal with, vats, aiming, inventory, hot keys, auto-run, and the hacking / lock picking mini games were actually playable.
