Its likely coming out a year or 2 after skyrim and is told already in early making process.
Fallout
The Fallout franchise is a post-apocalyptic series of role-playing and tactics games originally developed by Black Isle, and most recently, Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment.
Any one looking forward to fallout 4?
Nope, I've boycotted the entire series since Interplay screwed over Steve Jackson games with the first Fallout game.
On the good side, I've gotten a pretty strong back carrying this grudge around all these years.
Launch game for next MS console please.
Bethesda did a better job with Fallout 3 than Obsidian did with New Vegas.
Skipped New Vegas because of all the bugs I've heard it has, so as long as the game isn't broken I will totally buy another Fallout game.
Of course. I predict it won't be until the next console generation, though.I doubt that, even if the consoles came as soon as 2012 the SDKs wouldn't have been in development hands long enough and even if they had it still wouldn't make sense.
Fallout doesn't really interest me. Its all the same where ever you go, a big desert and ghouls. Why the Russians? The "Great War" or whatever was between the US and China, right?
Fallout doesn't really interest me. Its all the same where ever you go, a big desert and ghouls.well they can reuse much of the environment from Skyrim then...
I cant wait for Fallout 4, will probably buy a new computer or upgrade just for that game.
But I hope they set the game in another environment than the USA, though California would be interesting if it has to be USA. China, Russa or UK or would be more interesting.
Fallout doesn't really interest me. Its all the same where ever you go, a big desert and ghouls. While the fall out universe clearly has world wide themes the games tell the story of the United States. I don't think Bethesda will veer off of that formula.
@bukkookkubI thought i'd heard something along those lines, but wasn't sure. It sounds interesting.I'd love to play a Fallout MMOThe Black Isle studio that made the original games is making one.
I understand what you're saying but I don't think Fallout 4 will be out for sometime. Even if it's in the "early stages" of development I doubt it will be out before Christmas 2013, possibly Spring 2014. The Xbox 360 was released in November of 2005 and The Elder Scrolls IV was later released in March of 2006. There was about a 2 1/2 years between Oblivion and Fallout 3 (released Oct 2008), so if Elder Scrolls V is released this November then 2-1/2 years after that would be early 2014. I believe Microsoft will have a new system out by then, possibly Sony, too but I'm not so confident predicting that. At least, this is the reasoning that went into my original statement. I could be wrong of course, and we'll all find out eventually, but until some new information surfaces these past examples are all I can go on.@PenguinDust said:

After Fallout 3 and New Vegas, the series needs a serious upgrade. A change of venue. I enjoyed 3, and even liked New Vegas quite a bit, but the drab wasteland feel of the games has been done and needs to be replaced with something different. So, yes, I'm interested in Fallout 4, but only if they go somewhere new. And if Skyrim's engine turns out to be as nice as it promises ... well, we'll know more about that in November.
Just keep obsidian away from it. I don't think it's possible for them to not make a game that is almost completely broken.
Of course. The Fallout games are incredible. Really buggy, but still amazing games. It'd be great if it was on the new engine, but I'm not going to lie, if they put out a game that was as good as Fallout 3 or New Vegas, but running on the same engine again, I'd probably roll my eyes, and promptly go buy the game.
Yes. Let's have a post apocalyptic story set on the moon, in search of the lost space buggy.
Well I'd buy it...
