Lt. Simon "Ghost" Riley is the field subordinate of Task Force 141, an elite special forces group tasked with capturing Vladimir Makarov in Modern Warfare 2.
Johnny Sasaki is a recurring figure in the Metal Gear Solid series known for his weak intestinal fortitude. Initially a comic relief figure seen in Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2, he is given a more prominent role in Metal Gear Solid 4.
La Clown was the master of disguise in Metal Gear Acid.

The protagonist of the non-canon Metal Gear Acid 2, Snake is actually a clone of Solid Snake.

An expert in infiltration and espionage, Snake has completed countless missions and is repeatedly tasked with disarming the latest incarnation of Metal Gear. He is voiced by David Hayter in the English versions, Akio Ohtsuka in Japanese.
Teliko Friedman is Solid Snake's partner in Metal Gear Ac!d. Her father was murdered by La Clown, who then framed her for it.
Venus is the second playable character in Metal Gear Acid 2.
