Seems like a decent chunk of new stuff for your 10 bones, but as someone who's already finished the single-player campaign, that small handful of new guns and vehicles isn't really compelling me to get back in and keep tearing it up in the African merc scene. I guess if you're going for more achievements or you want to take out every last side mission, this could inject some good variety as you continue to grind. I didn't feel like the on-disc arsenal was lacking in the first place, though. It also seems a little weird to offer new multiplayer maps when the game ships with a pretty solid map editor that anyone can use, but then I bet these maps are way better than anything players are going to create anytime soon.
Far Cry 2 shipped a month ago, almost to the day, so this certainly looks like the sort of content that was at least being worked on--if not already finished--prior to release. Maybe it's trite at this point to get incensed about having to cough up more cash for content that arguably could have been included on the disc for freebies, but you know, whatevers. It's Friday. Additional paid content for all!
EDIT: The press release makes no mention of this content coming to the PC version; I'm guessing it won't. PC DLC is still a dicey proposition for publishers due to piracy and lack of control. It seems like you have to make a choice: Put it out for free on the PC and neglect the consoles, Valve-style, or put it out for pay on the consoles and skip the PC, everyone-else-style. Let's find a happy medium, people!
