Did anyone notice how the voice acting in Far Cry 2 is really awful.
They talk so fast and with no emotion that you just dont give a shit what they are saying.


You can see a bit of really bad voice work in here: After 40 seconds.

That's not all that's terrible about this game......

That's how they talk in Africa. The voice acting is fine.

Bad voice acting is tolerable...some of the other design choices aren't so tolerable.

Comparatively, that wasn't all that big of a deal.

Yes, Farcry 2's voice acting is terrible. The rate at which they speak is ridiculous. I gave up listening after a few hours.

It's not that bad. It isn't anything special, but I wouldn't call it terrible by any means. I would call it generic, nothing more and nothing less.

this game is terrible in every aspect except for graphics .
the Voice acting in Far Cry 2  was the most terrible Voice acting I have ever heard in any Video games and pretty much anything .

I love this game (HATERS! YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF HATERS!), but I agree that the voice acting is awful. The Jackal is especially poor.

I think that Mass Effect VAing is great, but that clip he's talking about has French (or something) VAing so that could be the problem."

I was talking about the clip in Meowayne's post, not the actual game. The voice acting in the English version of that game was awesome, but not so much in the German version."

Far Cry 2 voice acting isn't bad. It can be spoken too fast, but it's by no means terrible or bad.

While some of it was kind of emotionally flat, I didn't find it to be bad at all. If this is the worst voice acting you've heard in a game, you must have missed out on most of the PSx and PS2/XBOX generations of gaming.

If you want some bad VAing...just check out Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.

That was average.

And that video only shows how bad the writing is...that video is almost a high point for the VAing in that game."

I played through that whole game hoping that things would eventually change for the better, but they didn't...and on topic, the VAing just got progressively worse."

I think the bad VAing in UT3 is tolerable and to be expected...the game isn't about a story or VAing at all, but WoS was supposed to be heavily driven by story, but the VAing (and writing) were so bad that any attempt at a good story was impossible. I wouldn't say that it's as bad as UT3, but I don't really think much time and effort was put into getting good voice work for that game, unlike WoS."

I've found no problem with the voice acting in Far Cry 2 yet, but I'm only 24% through, so maybe there's something you've heard that I haven't.
