The game is about to release on steam but I noticed an article from IGN detailing a patch that came out. But they also made a hyper link to the patch which made me think that it's a manual download only. So I was just curious if the game auto patches via steam or Uplay or do you have to go hunt these patches down yourself? Thanks duders

I imagine the Steam version would. I just bought it on Steam but am stuck at work. So I won't know if it auto-patches till later tonight. I'm guessing Uplay will auto-patch as well. Unless they just completely overlooked that feature... which wouldn't surprise me.

IIRC if it's got Steamworks, Steam will handle the patching. If there is a non-Steam version of the game, that might need manual patching. Applying a manual patch to the Steam version of any game has the potential to impact the stability of the game.

im playing the none steam version in the UK and im sat waiting for it to patch to 1.02 as i type this. which it did all by itself

Same here, patched to 1.02 today when launching the game.

Yup. Uplay games autopatch, same as Steam.
