The third installment in the series sees a reluctant victim battling nature, pirates, and the island's insanity-inducing jungle to rescue his friends and family from an island paradise gone horribly wrong.

That does look like THT to me, but given that one of the game's weapons artists is known to be a Giant Bomb forum-goer, it is not at all out of the realm of possibility. There's also a GLHB (good luck, have Batman) on the syringes, which can be seen in the quick look.

@kommando208: That second picture with "TNT" is totally photo shopped, so I can't really stand by this actually being on the gun, but hey, benefit of the doubt, I guess.

It's a syringe. Glycosylated hemoglobin. It's not wishing good luck and batmans.
Glycosylated hemoglobin wouldn't be IN syringes. Well, it could be, but not in the context of injecting yourself with it.
Assuming the devs wouldn't just go "oh yeah its Glycosylated hemoglobin" without knowing that it is something you test for in the diagnosis of diabetes, not something you would inject yourself with. Unless i am missing context and the syringe isnt something you inject yourself with, i haven't played it yet.
Like that other dude said, warxsnake is one of the dudes who worked on the game (and I believe in specific he modeled the guns. If you read this, YOU DID AN AMAZING JOB WITH THE GUN MODELING. Most beautiful 1911 I've seen in a game.) so it's very possibly that.

I believe it. In fact, I wish they would acknowledge it more on the site but in pretty much implying it as hard as they could, yeah what's up GB is all up ins Far Cry 3. This is just cake, but almost better because it's tucked away.

Yup, those are the letters. Odd little thing for reviewers of games if the game has little easter eggs for your website in it. Nothing you did wrong that assaults your integrity, but it must feel weird to be possibly included in a product your supposed to be viewing as a consumer when you play it.

Someone said in the Quick Look comments that the GlHb was Glycosylated Hemoglobin...but I just think they Googled "GlHb" and figured that's what it was. It's way out of context and not something that would ever have the remotest possibility of being in a syringe intended for injection.

It really is...skeletonized hammer, front & rear slide serrations, the works. The model of the HK-416 is also gorgeous, probably the most accurate I've ever seen in a game. If @warxsnake did the work on these, they are absolutely incredible.

to think, i only took the one extra step and actually CLICKED on the wikipedia link. Actually, I dont know how they found that, because doing a little more research I couldn't find anywhere that actually listed GlHb as an abbreviation of it.

Can you confirm or deny that these "eastereggs" are intentional?

I don't get the skeptics here. Dude from the forums worked on the game. Earlier on this year, another forum user, who is an animator on Archer, put in the crew's initials and GLHB into the background. People put such nods in games/films all the time, mostly because it's innocent filler and only someone crazy will pay attention anyway.
Unless it turns out warxsnake comes in and says "yeah it's totally not an easter egg". But in that case, he's no fun.

You're all missing the most obvious link to Giant Bomb: All of the enemies wear clothes. Who else wears clothes? RYAN "NEVERNUDE" DAVIS. Boom, minds blown!
Also, if you Noclip through Vaas, there's a severed Jeff head on a pike, but that's a stretch.
I'm playing Farcry 3 right now on my PC with Very High settings.
The gun being used is the Shadow, a signature silenced pistol, a gun that you get during mid-game.
With the gun pressed up against the wall like that, it's hard to see - but what I did was I dropped the Shadow for another gun. Then I zoomed in with a high caliber scope on a sniper at the Shadow on the ground, and I can totally confirm that it says "GB TNT 42B"
I would say it's coincidence but there's also GLHB on the syringes as well. You don't have to believe me, check it out yourself.

Er, no. I'm 99% positive that this is a minor photo shop, from looking at your main picture and other pictures. I wanna believe and smit, but nope. I'm no expert thought, so that first picture could just be really crappy. Idk, still helluv skepticle.

I don't have Far Cry 3 (yet), but I was watching a stream on twitch.tv just now and I noticed that the syringes also have "GLHB" written on them. This has gotta be more than a coincidence.

You know, people could, I don't know, provide more evidence one way or another. It's not like the OP is the only one who owns FC3 on PC or anything. I'm surprised this thread isn't full of screenshots of that pistol, which according to @Castermhief117 is called Shadow (or The Shadow). I would have done it myself if I had the game but I don't so there's that. Anyone else willing to post high-res screenshots of that thing? Also the recurve bow having GLHB on it.
There's every reason to believe those are GB easter eggs in the game given that GLHB on the syringe doesn't really make sense otherwise, the weapon designer is a fan of the site, and stuff like this. Prove me wrong but damnit I want more screenshots!
