I took it to my cart and it realized I was getting in via proxy and adjusted. Then it gave me an error that the item was taken down. I think it's dead already!

It's Gamestop's digital distribution service so...probably a mistake.

I just went to the link via a TOR exit node in The Netherlands and saw the €6.59 price. I didn't attempt to purchase it though but looks like that route could work for those that want to try.

It's showing as £54.98 for me. Obviously was a pricing mistake that has now been fixed.

It's back to regular price now. When I went to the site it was a fiver but by the time I got to checkout it was up to 50-something pounds.

That was an incredibly fast fix on their part, usually these things stretch for a bit longer than that. But who knows how long it had been like this before the OP realized it via the deals site.

Damn. Well at least a few people got in. I knew it was a mistake when I clicked the "show price in US dollars" button and the price went from €6.59 to $105.69. I know the dollar is weak but not that weak!

I doubt it. From my experience with these pricing errors, that's always the fear but rarely the reality. I don't know of a time when that actually occurred.

@Trav: Plus I think in this case it would be more likely that they remove it from your account and refund you the fiver but fingers crossed it's fine (mines still downloading...come on baby)

Yeah, that's definitely more likely. I don't know that they could even legally say "YOU DONE GOOOOOOOOFED!" and charge you full price when you paid the listed price, regardless of market price expectation. Good luck!

@Heltom92: I don't know what the laws are regarding that type of thing in the UK, but in the US, such a move would be straight up illegal...not to mention being protected by Visa, MaterCard, or Amex as well. There is no way they'll ever charge you the difference, you didn't agree to that price!

I managed to get it while it was still the crazy low price, downloading now...but getting stupidly slow download speed with it. Anyone else getting such nonsense?

I download on steam at about 7 megabytes a second but i'm getting 600 kb/s from the gamestop app. horrible thing

@deadeyes: I've heard that complaint a lot from people downloading stuff from Impulse. I guess I don't expect much from Gamestop in this department.

I thought maybe I could use the CD key on steam to no such luck, in case anyone thought they could try that

yes it sucks i am getting 500kbs, this is going to take all day... but small price to pay after getting it for £5 :P

and NO keys dont work on Steam, dont know if they work on Uplay ( dont have that client and dont need another one )

downloading at 1.2 mb/s. which is near max of my bandwidth

can anyone confirm if the code works with ubisoft client?

There isnt a way to add it to uplay with just the code if thats what you mean?

1.2 mb/s would be much better than this crap heh

@JudgeDread: I have no idea...these are the two most obscure DD platforms out there. I'm not sure it's ever even been attempted before...hah!

I have not installed UBIsofts client and do not know if that is better on maintaining the game and for multiplayer

@JudgeDread: I think you need to run the ubisoft app when playing far cry 3? not 100% on that though

@JudgeDread: Far Cry 3 will install UPlay - it's a required front end to run the game. Steam users have to put up with it too, sadly.

I was crashing before the game even loaded, I had to disable the Uplay overlay to get the game to run.

Seems to have activated fine, bit annoying that you cant put the key straight into Uplay for Farcry 3, it only picks up the game once it's downloaded and installed to the uplay game folder and tried to run, then added to uplay client.... now working. Thankfully I could test it cos already got farcry 3 on another pc.

i forgot i already had uplay ( settlers 7 ) installed and cant seem to find a way to use my FarCry3 key so i guess what this person said is valid :P

Far Cry 3 Deluxe edition single is also not available. Maybe they ran out of keys

would not surprise me they havent got any more keys, maybe that explains why the slow dl speeds everyone is trying to download it :P

just hope someone doest get into real trouble for the price mistake, with xmas near and all.

For anyone that had terribly slow download speeds and perhaps stopped the download like me. I'm now grabbing it at 6 megabytes a second. So if anyone else is the same, maybe try grabbing it now?

Bit late to post it but I also got the deal. Finished downloading it overnight and been playing a bit today. Ive had to set it to the lowest graphics as my card isnt great but its running smoothly now so im happy.

Bit of a kick in the balls. I bought it for £35 yesterday off steam. Least it was a mistake i suppose and not a real sale.
