Far Cry Review by VAC
This was easierly one of the best games thats hit the PC market in a very long time. As a first person shooter lover myself, i felt like a lot of these games were becoming tiresome and dull to be honest. I remember seeing pictures and screenshots in magazines and online about this game a good 6 months before it came out and was imediately wow'd out by it. Its every you want in a decent FPS and had a fairly decent multiplayer aswell, considering it wasn't its main feature.
The graphics were State-Of-The-Art when it was first released a few years ago, i would go as far to say that this game revolutionized how we see water effects in games today. The game play has solid action in some really interesting enviroments with some really tough AI, i couldn't beat the game on its toughest setting but that might be because im lame! They would go hide and then shoot from cover and then advance on your position if you would stay in one spot too long. There was some good stuff you could get to drive around in, i think my personal fav was the armored boat as i liked the water stuff!
The main storyline gets a bit off track in places with the monsters but it really doesn't make the game any less fun at all! its just a brilliant game that was definately under-rated when at the time everything on PC was a bit crappy....
A must have for any FPS lover, seriously!!! go get it!!
