Earlier this August, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment said that Day 1 Studios' F.E.A.R 3 had been delayed until 2011. Retailer listings at the time suggested that the follow-up would see an April release. Close, but no cigar. The actual release date, as WBIE has confirmed this afternoon, is March 22, 2011.
WBIE has also revealed a myriad of downloadable pre-order incentives spread out amongst three retailers: Best Buy, Amazon, and GameStop. And as usual, all three retailers are offering "exclusive" items that we all wouldn't mind having, but won't be able to get on launch day because who in their right mind reserves a game at three different stores. That said, the list is just below. Choose wisely.
== TEASER ==Amazon
Internet-based Amazon is offering the only non-DLC item: a 12-page prequel comic book (CPre-DLC?) written by Steve Niles.
Best Buy
The big blue chain is offering a weapon called "The Shredder." Apparently, the gun gets its name from how quickly it shoots its "heavy metal shot rounds" which are all "mixed with nitrates."
GameStop
GameStop is getting a weapon called "The Hammer," which is a .50 caliber pistol that does twice the damage of a normal one.
Oh, hey, it wouldn't be Halloween without a little Alma, right? I've been wondering how my baby mama been doing. Apparently, pretty good.
