i wanted a remake as well. This is alright. I already have FF7 on my PSP. 

Well, it's the international version. So you can play it if you end up buying it. But why would you pay $15 bux? oh wait, it's Square, and Sony charges publishers per gigabyte.

They really really really really really need to bring more ps1 games to NA PSN.

We need this on the US PSN Marketplace, so I can play it on my PSP.

still have my original copy I got back in 1997,  I'll stick to playing that when I want my fix.

perhaps this is a way of square enix testing the waters to see how well received a ff7 remake might be... if this is the case, it seems to be a horrid idea since most of us still have our copies of the original or something.
just cuz i love the game tho i'll prolly download it when it comes to the North American PSN. we will see.

Do people still care about Final Fantasy?  It's a 90s relic, as far as I'm concerned.

We likely wont see the international version released in EU or US.

I would buy it to have it in my collection.

People say all the FF haven't aged well, but thats only the case with 7. I played FF7 and hated it then a week later played FF8 and liked it.

Bah I haven't played a single ff game for longer than 10 minutes, I don't think I'll ever understand their appeal. I wish they'd just let the franchise die already and make something else, like a new Front Mission that ACTUALLY gets released here >_<

I have to drop my usual rant hammer on Final Fantasy 7 - I hate everyones obsession with it, both love and hate.  I personally dont like it, not necessarily hate it but it's clearly not TEH GREATEST FF EVER as most young'ings groom it to be.  The thing is though even that is my opinion, I grew in a world where I played video games and most other RPGs prior to 7 such as the previous 6 (or 3 on SNES) and they are way better.  However most people who swear by 7 only started with 7 and it's burned in their minds now, which is too bad.

Why do people want a remake of a game they loved so much in the past? When you go back and play old games they never hold up and remakes often go poorly wrong. Even if the remake is great the hardcore fans will always say the original was better so tbh noone wins.

I hope they never remake it.

Honestly if they did remake it using a prettier graphics engine and essentially the same game play I'd still buy it.

I know it's cool to hate on the idea of an FFVII remake, but seriously, it would actually be worthwhile. For one thing, the English story is practically incomprehensible in spots because of its lackluster translation. Of course the translation is no where near as bad as the 80s and early 90s JRPGs, but it needs a lot of work. Most of the dialogue works, but all the stuff about "clones" and "calamities from the skies" needs serious clarification. Just ask the FFVII wikipedia entry if you don't believe me.
