Many people would like a remake of Final Fantasy VII, including myself, while others would like Square-Enix to concentrate on new games and move away from their past games. Of course, there's also people who just don't care about Final Fantasy at all.

For those who would like a remake, how would you feel if instead Square decided to make a sequel to FFVII, much like they did with FFX? To be honest, I didn't like the story for FFX-2. I thought the gameplay was great, but the story was down right silly to me. I'm not saying it was all bad, but the direction they took it in made the overall story of FFX feel awkward.

Square has made a lot of spin offs to FFVII and it seems like there's not too much else left to tell in the FFVII universe. I would much rather have a remake then a sequel myself.

There is no reason for a remake, people don't consider how potentially bad of an idea it is. They need to move on and make some new FF games that are just as good if not better, and 7 isn't even that good.

FFVII has a special place in my heart, so I'd have to buy it....I never tried FFX-2 but it looked very stupid, like the whole Yuna turning into a singer thing? Maybe I got the wrong impression, but seriously..... wtf?

I think they've done enough adding to the FFVII story. They really should focus on other games, and MAYBE remake FFVII in the near future.
