Apparantleyfinal fantasy 13 is only worthy of an 83 percent....

Hey thats ok battlefield is sitting near 90 percent.....

Un-F-#$%ing believable. Even though im personally only about 8 hours into final fantasy 13, the game is aboslutley stunning. Im almost in a state of mental shock playing such an amazing game after heavy rain....too many synapses firing in my brain all at once. The end result is a gamer state of enlightment. And a headache....

The good headache though...the kind you get when you become so immersed..so enthralled...so awestruck by something that it overwhelmes your spirt.

Sure i guess the game could stumble at this point, but if you read the actual "content" of the reviews next to the scores you will find something even more alarming. A wave of followers. All it took was one " oh my god final fantasy 13 is so linear!" and the walls start crumbling. You cant fault the graphical style or direction....nor the depth of the combat....hell the story is as engrossing as ever. But that linearity....well thats just terrible!

Sigh....most final fantasy fans already own this game....but for those who are holding on to your money and reading the wave of underwhelment...go buy this game now. Its amazing.

I'll buy it when I have the money and the time to play it.

Comparing an RPG to an online based FPS makes sense.

battlefield bc2 is a multiplayer game, people get more of a rush playing the multiplayer and it's one of the best online shooters i've played in the past few years.
 
i'm only 4 hours into final fantasy 13 and yah it's ok so far.  Two completely different games so i don't know why you are comparing the two.

How are they in any way comparable?

listen to the bombcast and brads complaints. THAT is why it is only a sub 70-80 game.
 
Also, yeah enough of these fucking threads, jeez there are like 20 on the front page all about the same shit.

i'll buy it when it gets cheaper, but the general consensus is one disapointment so i'm not going to drop £40 on it.

Or, maybe FF13 just isn't the super amazing game you think it is....OR, (Hold on to your hats) MAYBE In Your Humble opinion its better but In My Humble opinion it is a game that I will never finish because I can't play more than a couple of hours without wanting to sleep.

I like FF13. I see where people have their problems with it but I don't care, so long as I enjoy it that's all I truly care about.  
 
And I also enjoy Bad Company 2, both are outstanding games in their respective genres.

Impossible to compare, maybe you should toss in Gran Turismo and Street Fighter IV as well for good measure. I for one, can't stand turn based JRPG's. It's all a matter of taste.

You have to consider that games are scored based on how they are compared to other similiar games. So BC2 might be a really good FPS, while FFXIII is good, but maybe not as good as some of the other FF games.
 
Besides, scores and comparing them are useless.

I'm probably biased, and I haven't even tried FF13 yet, but I got to be honest.
I actually find it kind of refreshing to hear something critical about a Final Fantasy game instead of endless hyperbolic gushing 9.9/10s.
