 " That the new Final Fantasy will be on the 360 makes me quite happy (I've always wanted to play those games but never got any generation of the Playstation so my experience is limited to Tactics Advance) However, what I've seen of the new one makes me kind of iffy on whether it'll be worth it. Graphics are awesome, but  the story doesn't look all that interesting. All it's really done is revive my desire to finally play the 'older' versions, but I dunno if I want to go out and buy a PS2 and all that just for games that were good in the day.

The story doesn't seem to be quite what I want from an FF, but the new gameplay design is compelling me to give it a shot. The story could be really good too.

I've got the import version preordered. Can't wait for this sucker. And I honestly don't even know why!

Yea. It does enough new that it's interesting and I'm a sucker for epic soundtracks (which is also a factor in my decision to get Brutal Legend).

cant wait for xiii  but its the other xiii with the dude as the main character i wanna realy play

If you haven't played a Final Fantasy game then you either aren't a gamer, or you're a teenager.

i'll buy a ps3 with it but I'm abit disappointed that its not a distopian dirty technopunk art style like ff7. more bright tron lights!

Not particularly excited about.  I don't like what we've seen of the story or setting.. I might change my mind when I actually start playing the game, but thus far it looks very "blah" to me.  I also dislike the fact they've already announced at least three spin-off/sequels to it.  Yes, it's Final Fantasy, but what if people don't like it?   I will at least say that I like that we finally have a strong main character this time around, after the last few games.  Especially good because it's a female one in her 20's.  However will the Japanese relate to her.
 
I'm honestly a lot more excited about Crystal Bearers on the Wii, it feels a lot more like what Final Fantasy should be, to me.

Oh, I was getting a little more excited about maybe playing XIII in the last few months. But yesterday I saw that long ass story trailer in english with a bit of gameplay strewn inbetween? I don't know how old that trailer is, but it was shocking to see just how bad the writing seems to be. Judging from the trailer, while the animation and presentation is better, the game seems to be just as awkwardly and badly written as Lost Odyssey. 
 
It was an extremely disappointing moment.

FF14 and The Crystal Bearers look better, actually. I am more excited for those two than FF13.

I kinda was and still am interesting for the battles at least, system seemed pretty cool from what I have seen over the last few years...however that last long trailer I saw made me feel the opposite entirely. I will rent the game, but thats it.

As an aside, I hated Lost Odyssey as well.
