What it comes down to is a full game's worth of content was cut from the PS3 version.  It was already working on the PS3 version and after playing the game I can easily admit that there are major plot gaps explaining some stuff and locations.

Bet my words that Final Fantasy XIII International will be PS3 exclusive in Japan and will contain the cuts with Battle System improvements, old Job System, extended Grand Pulse, and other surprises.

It's a shame all of this was cut from the PS3 version but I was never going to buy the NA version of FF13, I haven't bought the NA version of a FF game since FF9...and I own all the International Versions of both FF and KH.

It's a shame NA/EU gamers won't get a localized International version, but if FF13 has all the extended content...this will be the true version of FF13 and Square can fix the mess they made with the current version.

So FF fans, fear not!  The International Version which will more than likely be out late 2010 with Agito XIII or early/mid 2011 will be the complete game that Square originally wanted to make!

     Squaresoft lives!

Squaresoft did a CGI motion picture and lost a lot of money. They then started to sell themselves out and live on sad fanservice. This plan was perfected when Enix and their clever marketing people took over. Most of the people that made Squaresoft popular have left.

Squaresoft has been dead and replaced by a robot almost a decade ago.

@LiquidPrince: The DLC would be put into the International Version regardless...

Wait, why is the content in the international version? Didn't they say that it would ruin the balance of the game or something and thus it was cut?

Isn't Agito a cell phone game...? Aren't you thinking of Versus?   EDIT: Nevermind, it's PSP. Meh.

So wait what this is saying is that the NA version will have things that the JP version doesn't have, or vice versa? And I assume the 360 port will have the same content as the PS3 NA version? Cuz I'm getting the 360 version.

I thought the article said they were just cut in general, not just cut from the NA version.

It's Square.  NA will ALWAYS have the bug fixes and a couple extra stuff...Japanese gamers get pissed...Square comes out with International Version for Japan that is pretty much a new game.

I'm willing to bet the shit they cut will get put back in for the International Version...just like they did with Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy X (cept PAL), Final Fantasy X-2, and Kingdom Hearts II FInalMix+.

EDIT:  Let's not even forget Dissidia International which was a much better game...yeah, after hearing all the shit that had to get cut, it's safe to safe there will be an International Version for XIII.  I for one say bring it, after already beating XIII and nearing the final few trophies, I wouldn't mind replaying it for new trophy list and a better game.
