I want to take advantage of the Best Buy sale and my local store only has the 360 version in stock. Am I missing anything if I buy the 360 version?

Yes, a slightly lower resolution and some video artefacting make a game completely and utterly unplayable.

As much as I'd like to say any version of the game is unplayable, I'll tell you that the 360 version is a perfectly fine version of the game.  The disc switching is a little annoying, but aside from that I didn't have any trouble with it.

Don't forget a stuttering framerate in Chapter 11, the backtracking chapter.  Look, everyone says if you have a PS3, get the PS3 version. "

Hell no!  The game ran and looked phenomenal from my 360's HDD.  No worries  AT ALL.

It's definitely playable. Just doesn't run as smoothly or look quite as pretty. If you can't get the PS3 version, then you might as well go for the 360 version.

Oh dear... Talk about a bad first impression. Joking of course, it's a fine game but don't judge the Final Fantasy series on this game alone. If you like it, I'd highly recommend FFX. If you don't like it, I'd still recommend you try FFVII or FFIX. As for the JRPG genre, you could also give the Shin Megami Tensei series a try. Either one of the Persona games or Nocturne. "

It plays fine, but there are some grainy textures. From a tech standpoint, its fine.

I think we can all over look some grain and a slight lower resolution that you wouldn't even complain about unless you compared it side by side....  BUY IT!!!

My brother played through the entire game on 360 and said he had no problems.

No problem here but I just have a 1080i, also I downloaded it on my 250gig Xbox hard drive.

It runs just fine.

It's one of the best looking Xbox 360 games.

If you have both then you might as well get the PS3 version if not still get it for 360. 
It is the same as Dragon Age, looks and plays best on a good PC but still more than worth playing on consoles.

I picked it up yesterday and just started playing today (On Chapter 2), you can see the difference from the opening movie and the cutscenes in the game. I am enjoying the game so far.

The only real difference is that the cut scenes for the PS3 version are mostly genuinely better looking. But besides that nothing else is different.

It also depends on which console you play the most games on and such. I think the 360 version is just as great though.
