Yep, right now I am rocking the PS2, the Wii, and my trusty PC, where I do all my serious gaming these days (Oblivion, Fallout 3, Mass Effect and Dragon Age). 
 
But I have never missed a Final Fantasy game. 
 
It really depresses me a little that I am 100% committed to paying almost 400 bucks to play a single game. 
 
But uh, its not exactly going to stop me either ;)

Get it on the PS3. Why? Because at this point FFXIII Versus is still an exclusive on the PS3. Seeing how this guy never misses out on a FF game; the PS3 is your best bet.
 
Besides some people feel a little weird out to play a Final Fantasy on something that's not PlayStation. Kind of weird since FF started off with Nintendo first.

Well, hopefully this one day results in you playing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the REAL reason to own a Playstation 3. And uh, you know FF XIII isn't even exclusive right?

I did consider a 360 btw. I just looked at the consoles and realized the 360 games that were really intriguing to me I had already played (Oblivion, Fallout 3, Mass Effect). 
 
On the other hand, as others have mentioned the PS3 games that interest me most (Infamous, Uncharted) don't seem likely to show up anywhere else.  

I'm a huge fan of the old school FF games, but I think the series kind of jumped the shark somewhere around FFX.

To me it seems crazy to willingly not own a PS3 and / especially or a 360.  Come for the FF13, stay for the everything else.

Just get both consoles, buy FPS's on the 360 and get the exclusives for the PS3 and you have the best of both worlds everyone wins this whole one console only thing drives me batty why choose when you can go both ways!

Will have to wait and see on the differences/amount of discs, but I'm leaning towards getting the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIII myself, as of right now... even though I've mostly been buying multiplatform games on the XBOX 360 lately. 
 
Also, the PS3 has Disgaea 3, which is still one of my personal favorite games of this generation.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII is still PS3-exclusive.
 
 
I'd say go with a PS3.
