I am not much of a rpg fan and i doubt that i am the only one. FF xiii has intrigued me quite a bit but i NEED to try the gameplay out to see if i can play it and have fun. 
I dont want to get the japanese one because that would take to much time. Didnt they tease a demo a few months ago? why haven't we seen one yet?

They probably don't want to put-off the longtime fans of the game. 

They put one in Advent Children BluRay release.

Most likely because they don't think it's worth it to put a demo out for free.  Wasn't the only way to get the Japanese demo to buy the Advent Children bluray?

They might release one later.  Games seem to be doing that nowadays.  The retail version gets released first and then the demo comes out.

I'd love a demo. It could definitely sway me into the direction of getting the game.
