Game looks great. I've played a dozen hours or so on PC, I'm a fan of everything about it, except for the part where I actually have to play it. I love the look, the music is fantastic, but unfortunitely I don't find it fun. The same applies to PSO2 and unfortunitely, WoW at the moment.

How the bloody hell do you capture without the HUD though? This is one I took the other day but its got all the HUD stuff over it. =(

@demoskinos: You hold L1 and click the touchpad in. It removes the HUD. You can toggle it on and off that way.

@snakelinksonic: The only thing I hate about the PS4 is like in your one picture where it will take a screenshot with the screenshot notification if you do it too fast.

Since I changed it to take a screenshot when pressed I've taken about a billion shots. So many I now find the idea of looking through too daunting to contemplate.

Also I had a few random 15 minute clips thrown in. No idea how I did that, but fun to watch through some old FATEs anyway.

Just killed Titan. Wasn't nearly as hard as I was expecting. Was actually pretty fun!

@steadyingmeat: Nice! That chocobo looked weird to me for a second then I realized I've never seen a chocobo in this game without some sort of barding on him.

@demoskinos: Heh, I don't think I have either (aside from my own obviously). He'll probably be replaced soon when I get the third tier of subscription rewards that includes an eyeball monster mount. (Probably not though, I'd feel bad abandoning him, I'm weird like that).

Okay, so it doesn't look as good here since the PS4's screenshot quality is shockingly horrible, but man, this place in-game is soooo beautiful. I was tempted to just take a screen from the PC version, but I'm assuming that's not allowed in this thread. XD

@steadyingmeat: The best way to get the original resolution is to either transfer them directly from USB or upload them to Facebook. Twitter downscales them horribly.

They do but you can get the actual resolution still for instance....

Notice it is incredibly downscaled. Now if you want the FULL resolution all you have to do is put :orig on the end of the URL

Waiting for everybody on the server to show up for an S rank Hunt in Thanalan. The quiet before the storm (and slowdown). He disappeared a couple of times and my character started auto-running without being able to cancel it too, which was fun. I like how the two Aldgoats are waiting too.

I have a shot I should upload of the same hunt (monster/place, but different day). It's just a massive blob of character models and spell effects because the game stopped showing the monster.

@thelastgunslinger: it's such a glorious mess, a fireworks slideshow. My favourite part is when it's over and everyone just stands around saying "what now" into their linkshells - since the rest of the server is totally devoid of people looking for other marks everyone seems a bit lost. Great for taking screenshots though.

man it looks good and from what i have heard it is now a good game. i really want to give this a go on ps4 but i just dont know man, wish sony would give a free trial so i could dip my toes into.

@cloudnineboya: the upgrade programme is still running for the ps3 > ps4 version, so if you have a ps3 you can jump in for a very low price.

@cloudnineboya: If you have a PC that can run the game you could try the free PC trial and then if you like it get the PS4 version.

@warlordpayne: wait what the pc has a free trial, i did not know this. sweet i will give that a go, cheers.

@cloudnineboya: You can't join a Free Company while on the trial, but the Giant Bomb FC is on Ultros if you decide to stick around and want to join up.
