Yea--those model's don't looks "pre rendered" to me. I wonder if it's some sort of augmented reality model they are using or something like that? Why else is that character floating around in a room with windows? Either way, that E3 trailer looked crazy and can't wait to see what comes from it.

I like these video's fine. Heck these characters even look almost like humans instead of some anime mashup dolls.

I wonder how this will actually look like on next-gen consoles.

Interesting how hairy old men with wrinkles usually make for the most impressive tech demos.

Ouch... you just broke my brain worse than the last third of FF-VII.

It's quite impressive-looking. I thought the characters in FFXIII looked more like anime puppets than humans, so it's good to see that art style possibly vindicated in HD.

That said, until it's in an actual game, I'll keep this stuff at an arm's length, same as I do every time Square puts out a pretty next-gen tech demo.

My one question with this game was "Does this still exist, and are people working on it?"
 
 
This does not confidently answer that question.

I didn't like 11, I didn't like 12, I didn't like 13, I haven't played 14. I have lost all confidence that any new core Final Fantasy series installment will appeal to me. Making it prettier isn't going to help, but it will be interesting to see if this engine will actually be able to run on the next gen consoles. And if not, will Japanese developers start putting more of their games on the PC? I really hope so. I just want Persona 5 on Steam.

The characters in XIII also looked pretty much human. Only some of the features were slightly exaggerated, namely the eyes.

At this point Ive lost interest in Versus XIII

Noone gives a shit about your graphics Square, you spend like 5 years on all your games now because of it. Between 1997-2000 you had FFVII, VIII and IX. In the almost 8 years of this generation we have had FF XIII and FF XIII-2.

Versus XIII is the new Duke Nukem Forever. The disappointment level will be like DNF, but worse because it has no tits.

As cool as these tech demos look I kind of don't care. I never was a huge FF fan but what Square Enix is doing is just ridiculous.

That game probably isn't coming out, at least not with that title.

Perhaps it's because I'm getting older, but this certainly does nothing to get me excited about owning the next Final Fantasy or even a next-gen console.

Since Versus' relationship with FFXIII seems distant at best, they could probably just re-name it to FFXV without changing anything else about it, haha.

I dunno about everyone else, but I'm still really curious to see how Versus XIII turns out. Meanwhile I couldn't give fewer shits about XIII-3. What the hell.

I like how the slider for how bright the crystal is is just described as its "MAGIC" stat.

So the character models look good, big whoop. The character models for current FF games look great too, doesn't change the fact that I have no desire to play the games.

What I'm trying to say is, this is nothing new and it's boring to boot.

Is this the MMO one? It's hard to keep up with all these Final Fantasy games.
