Personally my favorite was Final Fantasy X's soundtrack. As a soundtrack, it was original and diverse, and it also contributed much to the game's ambiance. Specific pieces I liked were the Seymour Battle Theme, Sprouting and Mount Gagazet, but ultimately the entire soundtrack was terrific, and I don't remember a single piece I didn't enjoy listening to.

I'd give special mentions to Final Fantasy IV, VI and VII as well, which also had great soundtracks.

Mine would be FFVI's soundtrack or FFX's. FFVIII and FFIX are honorable mentions.

My three favorite soundtracks are the same as my three favorite FFs

FFIX

But Uematsu's work is so good, any FF could be nominated here. It depends on the taste of the person.

But I must reply to this thread... I loved IX, VII, IV, VIII, VI, X, and XI soundtrack the most in that order. I like pretty much all of Uemetsu's work anyways.

FFVI is the best

Mine would be X with VII and VI as honorable mentions. But, they're all so damn good!
