I mean, just look at that! Is there any chance that Nintendo of America will bring that over as unchanged as possible? Or should I just expect the main character posing in front of an all white background?

Fire Emblem 3DS' incredible Japanese box art
Hell no.Is there any chance that Nintendo of America will bring that other as unchanged as possible?
Man, that's pretty awesome. I think the one thing I would change is not having the game title in that black, rectangular box.

What he said. There's a long history of great Japanese box art being not as awesome for stateside releases.@evanbower said:

I'm as surprised as you are! Man, this comes out in less than a month. Super excited!@OllyOxenFree: @beard_of_zeus: @NegativeCero: Well, we did it guys. Against all the odds, this is indeed the North American box-art.

@beard_of_zeus: does it come out in europe at the same time?
Sometime in April I believe.

Awesome, I was a really big fan of that art and was worried that they were going to ruin it.

Sorry, European friends! I keep forgetting that the world is dumb and everything is region locked and nothing ever comes out anywhere at the same time...grrrr....
I'm glad someone knew the answer to your question though.
Normally box art is only changed because it's not actiony enough, this has a a whole bunch of armed dudes diving at some unseen foe, of course they kept it.
I was half-expecting an Ico-esque tragedy on this one. Awesome that this is coming over like that, since I'm pretty sure that's another excuse for a 3DS.

I'll be honest I expected it to be pretty shite when I saw the thread title, but I am pleasantly surprised. Never gonna play the game though.

Yeah I was just going to say I work in a print shop and we printed a bunch of ads for this tonight, and it is indeed the box art for North America
Good to know that it's staying the same but my first thought when I read this was the kid who used to say his dad would work at nintendo and he knew some secret or cheat in pokemon or something haha
@Rave: It's cool haha didn't think that what you were going for but yea I agree more often than not I prefer the japanese box art.
while this is currently one of my most anticipated games, I have to say I don't find the box art all that impressive.
to each their own though.
