Urge to buy 3DS... rising...
I've already resigned myself to purchasing a 3DS.
It's now just a matter of whether you want to go 3DS or big brother 3DS XL.
The only thing I use my 3DS for anymore is Pokemon Black 2 and I haven't played a Fire Emblem game in awhile so I might get it.

As have I, along with every Fire Emblem fan. This includes the ones who already own a 3DS.
I always prefer 2d graphics in games like these but whatever, shit looks cash.
I NEED A FUCKING 3DS THOUGH
Must...resist...buying a 3DS.
Shouldn't be too difficult. I haven't replayed some of the older Fire Emblems in a while, so I can do that if I'm looking for a FE fix. Also not a fan of the 3D fire emblem style because combat animations just aren't as good as this.
Oh, and I am positive the blue haired guy with the butterfly mask is Krom's twin.

I... don't know anything about this game and this trailer didn't change that but... I think that's OK.
Spoiler: It's like the other Fire Emblem games, but with voice acting on occasion. And in 3D.
Damn it! Why must handheld consoles have good games? Fucking handhelds! I want to play games on my tv!
@Red: You have to admit, though, the animations in this game are a massive improvement over the ultra lame and super boring battle animations from the GC and Wii game.
This looks like the game that can drive me to buy a 3DS. If I have enough money at some point between now and 2014, I'll buy one. The chances of that are pretty darn slim, though. Maybe I'll sell my SF fight stick.
I haven't booted up my 3DS for anything but Street Passing for months. This game will make me play my 3DS again.

So like Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, then. :P

But does the 3D pop out at you like it was devil magic in those games? I think not.

Awesome. If I had a 3ds (I'm kind of waiting on either more games, or another model of it) I'd totally play it.
What are some other Fire Emblem games worth playing? I've played the first US GBA game and Path of Radiance.
Really, anything that came out in the west, sans perhaps Shadow Dragon, is worth playing. If you're willing to go down the rabbit hole of insanity however, the SNES installments are some of the best in the series.

I'd be willing to go down that rabbit hole, if I get what your saying. I've played Mother 3.
Isn't there a SNES game thats a simultaneous remake/ sequel to one of the NES games? The one with Roy is alright too right?
@Nottle: Monshou no Nazo is the sequel/remake of the first game (i.e. the one with marth). It's ok (never finished it), but I was more referring to the other two SNES games: Seisen no Keifu and Thracia 776, both of which are excellent. The one with Roy, Fuuin no Tsurugi, has the benefit of directly playing like the other two GBA games but is also kind of dry and surprisingly difficult at times. It's not a bad gateway drug (There's also Tear Ring Saga to consider, which is Fire Emblem in everything but name, but I haven't played enough to give qualitative assertions) and the NES games are crusty and old and not all that fun to play.
Hope that frighteningly comprehensive overview helps.
@ArbitraryWater: Thanks for the info. So basically all the one with Marth kind of suck?
Also I want to point out how funny that one of the lords is named Leaf. Yeah, I'll get around to playing these. Truth be told I still haven't beaten path of radiance or Fire Emblem (the one with Eliwood.) I need to just focus on beating the game and not try to get every little treasure chest or trying to recruit dudes. I also am really bad about spreading my self thin. Instead of just making my strong dudes stronger I try to make the weaker ones more powerful so everyone is mediocre.
