I remember when I was a kid how I really loved Fire Emblem, but could never beat the final boss. The minions at the start of the chapter were hard enough, but then there was Nergal and the dragon to contend with. After what must've been a few dozen playthroughs, I've finally beaten the game. That last level punishes you for the slightest of errors and any mistake against the dragon boss results in having to restart the whole chapter - how annoying! It must rank up there as one of my greatest gaming achievements, and I now have a huge desire to play the sequel!

That last level is pretty tough. Sacred Stones can be much easier than FE7 was, as there are a couple places where you can train. This is nice because you can quickly become powerful, and so you can get every character to their full potential and then decide who you want to use for the rest of the game. But it can also take a lot of fun out of the game if it's your first playthrough, as you will be wiping the floor with the enemies.
