3. Dave Wick who was a founding Legend of the Five Rings creator and lead writer is the lead class designer for Firefall.

The look reminds me of Borderlands.  

It's very Blizzardesque and tribesy.

...if that's what they mean by "free to play".  Remember that Guild Wars is also free to play, but that's "buy the game and there's no subscription fee".  That's the way I would think something like this would be, because seriously...that game is looking too good to be a microtransaction-based "F2P" game. I would not mind paying for expansions if the core game itself is free to play without game unbalancing items in the store people can just buy.

Gotta say this looks great. I've been dieing for a good shooter mmo since planetside.

Hey im excited to at least try the damn thing. though im not digging the 3rd person shit. im going to assume you can toggle on the fly between them.

Red 5 studios , will not be selling ANY kind of weapon or anything that will give you an advantage in game.

But how will red 5 studios earn money then ?: They are going to be selling EXP boost , unique skins for your character and stuff like that , They wont be selling ANY weapon or anything that gives you an advantage.

Its going to be a skill based game not a pay to win game.

4. Everytime I see the word "Firefall" I read it as "Firefly" and then I get a warm, tingly sensation.

That's weird, my magazine did a 50 Reasons to Like Firefall feature in the latest issue. I reckon I could like me some Firefall.
