    First-Person Perspective

    Concept »

First-Person is a vantage point that attempts to simulate looking through a game character's eyes. It is most commonly found in first-person shooters, racing games, and visual novels, and to a lesser extent in other genres, such as RPGs, 3D platformers, and adventure games.

I know this will never happen but am I the only one who wishes that there was a standard for sensitivity in first person games on the consoles?  I just wish that they all adhered to the same highly tweakable system and that the default setting would have you look around at the same speed no matter what the game was, and you could adjust the sensitivity to say 7, and it would move just as fast (or slow) as any other game you set the sensitivity to at 7.

I know it is no big deal but still find it irksome :X

Don't you wish every game came out on every system?

No, for instance Halo on the default sensitivity of Call Of Duty 4 would be ridiculous, because Halo's movement speed is so much slower.

Yes each game should have an adjustable sensitivity setting. No there should not be a universal standard because each game is different.  Also console FPS should support keyboard and mouse, they have usb ports anyway might as well use em.

I think Funzzo is right. In theory, you make a good point, but for the sake of games feeling different from each other, they should have their own defaults.

I'd like to think that what makes a game different from another goes far beyond look sensitivity :X

The movement speed and gameplay in general was several times faster in the multiplayer in Halo 1 than 2 and 3. Drebin is right, COD4 sensitivity in Halo 3 would be ridiculous, and Halo 3 sensitivity in COD4 would be equally ridiculous.
