Flinthook is an action platformer made by Tribute Games, in which you play a space pirate boarding ships for their loot. The eponymous hero has a few gadgets to fight with: a hookshot to zip around levels, a blasma pistol to take down enemies and a belt that lets you slow down time.
Flinthook has some rogue-like or rogue-lite elements. Levels are randomly assembled from handcrafted rooms and change on each playthrough. The game is split into multiple Bounties and dying on a run makes you start that Bounty over from scratch. There is player progression with experience points, collectible perks to equip and a few permanent upgrades.
