Fog plays an important role in many games. In games like Silent Hill, it's an atmospheric element. In other games, it's artificially added to reduce draw distances to save memory and increase framerate.
@Ramyun: At least it isn't a one word dump like most things.
You know, I would say Fog of War because of my recent topic, but my friend just linked me to some games with terrible draw distance. (Which is usually hidden by calling it fog)
For that I can't really recall anything..except maybe Spiderman 3 on the PS3.
