Food Force was designed and produced by Deepend in Italy, with game programming by Playerthree in London.It's an educational game, part of the United Nations World Food Programme, which main goal is to raise awareness to hunger and food problems around the world. The game is freely downloadable, with versions for Windows and Macintosh. 1.8 million games were downloaded in the first 4 months. It was also the no.1 Action & Adventure Game Download at in April/May 2005.

In Food Force, the player's character is a rookie who has joined a team of UN experts such as a nutricionist, a Director of Food Purchasing and others. As a team rookie you have six missions to complete. Each mission represents a part of the process of delivering food aid to an area in crisis. The final mission shows you how food aid can help people rebuild their lives in the years following a disaster. These missions include locating hungry citizens in a helicopter, drop food supplies in a target zone and lead a food convoy to a depot among others.
