Is it possible to make a Giant Bomb chat app? - API Developers

When watching Live Quick Looks, I usually like to have the video on my desktop fullscreen and the chat on my iPad. At the moment, I do this by using the 'popout chat' in the browser but this is not ideal. A dedicated app for displaying live chat would be an interesting thing to devleop.

Is this at all possible with API access? Is this content that is accessable?

I don't believe so, though that would be a fascinating companion to have during live streams.

Chat is implemented using WebSocket. There are Java and Objective-C WebSocket libraries available, so mobile apps should be possible if you're willing to deal with login. I'll be looking into this more in the future.
