Search Resource and Roman Numerals…

It seems that no results are returned when I try to search for a game sequel, with roman numerals, using regular digits. 
 
Example: “warcraft 3’, ‘civilization 5’, ‘final fantasy 13’, etc. will turn up no results from the API. I have to enter the literal string of these titles with roman numerals for them to show up. 
 
Has this always been the case? Been toying with the API on and off for several months but I haven’t really noticed this problem until now.

So it's not taking aliases into account? Actually, I'm not sure it ever did. It's probably only searching the "name" of the object.
