Searching for digits versus roman numerals

When searching for, say, "fable 2" using the API, I get no results. Doing the search "fable ii" though, returns the relevant games.

Is there any easy way to do a search for digits and roman numerals combined, or do I have to solve this in my own application's logic?

The API does not currently support aliasing so you must search for the exact name or the response will be empty. This becomes an even bigger problem when using abnormal characters since they are not supported in HTTP requests. Some games become unsearchable.
