Uplay is so pupped up.

Ugh. Im irritated. So,has anyone besides me on PS4 not been able to see a single community chest,white whale,Royal Fleet? I really want the damn achievement for sharing one of each so I can get the platinum Trophy.

I've relinked accounts reloaded the game tried just about everything I can and nothing.

I saw a white whale en route to the Legendary ship in the northwest corner once, a couple of royal fleets around, but I've never seen one of the treasures.

I haven't played it since I finished it back near the PS4 launch, but I never had that problem. If you are connected to the servers, then you should be seeing stuff eventually. Sorry I can't really offer any advice.

It's busted. I don't know of anyone who has gotten it to work. If it makes you feel better Uplay doesn't work well on any platform.

I've seen Royal Fleets I've opened one Social Treasure on the PS4. No white whale.

Just came in here to say that I love that the "replace swear words with some permutation of the word puppy in thread titles" thing is gaining traction.

I've seen the chest and whale. But then Uplay lost my save game so that's probably a lot worse? Yeah, that's pretty crappy.

Seen quite a few royal escorts but that is about it, maybe seen one or two community chest. On the PS3 I would find tons of all 3 and didn't even have any friends attached to the account.

They are random. If you are looking for whales, sail the ocean. If you are looking for chests, check a lot of the islands. Go to one, run around it, if it doesn't say anything about a chest, fast travel to another one and do the same.

I got lucky and ended up finding one not too long into the game. I had already found a white whale and Royal Convoy so it all ended up working out for me.

That sounds about right, yeah.

I saw a white whale and the Royal Fleet (cash ship), but it is rare that I go after those things. I did partake of a white whale once because it was so close and I noticed that sit was on my map.

These social bits work best if you have FRIENDS playing as well. If my friends see the whale, than I get on my map too; if I see the white whale than my friends see it too. As far as I can tell, that's how it works So no friends playing means you don't get alerts that you do no see yourself.

I was more pissed off when the one and only time I've seen a white jaguar started a QTE that placed me inside a rock, which I could not then get out of.

Seriously, there was the jaguar waiting to be skinned, but all I am is a head poking out of a rock, and I had to reboot. Still, it wouldn't be an AC game if it didn't have moments like that.

This is such bullshit. I heard the problem was the game needed a patch. And indeed 1.03 says it fixes problems with social things not being awarded.

But I still cannot find any fleets or blue whales. That not true. I can find fleets both by tips from bartenders and just by sailing and finding them. Neither counts towards the Abstergo Challenges.

And I've only ever seen 1 blue whale, in the 30+ hours I've played this game.

What the hell is wrong with you Ubi, making your single player challenges require sailing for endless hours of nothing after finishing the game in every other way.

You're making me hate this game and I loved this game.

So, if people on my friend's list see a white whale, blue chest or royal convoy, is there a notification telling me that's it's on the map? Or do I have to constantly check the map to see if any showed up?

There is a notification but you can easily miss it in the tons of notifications that come up.

As to the idea that it'll show up if your friends see a royal convoy, I saw 3 today and it doesn't seem they are being transmitted on the social system. So have fun with that.

Well, they must have fixed the social stuff because I managed to find enough to get the trophy last night. Just finished up the Multiplayer trophies. I know its just a silly trophy but I'm pretty pumped about this. On the other hand this also means I've basically squeezed everything AC4 has to offer out of it. So one less thing to play on PS4 now. =\

Yeah I think a couple days ago they must of flipped a switch or something because I found something like twelve events in a span of a couple of hours. It was kind of ridiculous how easy it was after not being able to find anything for weeks.
