Other: none. Played Dishonored and this game looks too similar.

It's not similar in any way. But okay. Not sure if you're trolling or actually completely oblivious to what Bioshock is.

I'm getting the Premium edition.

Premium for me.

Don't lie =/ it's plenty similar; I definitely wouldn't say it's 'too similar' though...

Anyway, I got the regular version from Green Man Gaming for 45.

Regular version for me, really want the songbird edition but it's like £130, but no matter how cool that songbird statue looks I can't justify spending that much on one game

Ultimate Songbird Edition...

Yes, I am crazy.

Regular version

#8 Posted by probablytuna (3657 posts) -

I'm waiting for reviews before I make my choice. And if I do buy it, it's likely going to be the normal one.

#9 Edited by SimplyCheese (38 posts) -

The regular one after the price drops in summer.

#10 Edited by paulwade1984 (478 posts) -

Whichever version i can pick up on pc for like £15. Times are tight man.

#11 Posted by DizzyMedal (399 posts) -

I'm going to wait for a complete collection edition or something.

#12 Edited by LiquidPrince (15947 posts) -

Probably the normal edition. I'm done buying collectors editions for games, unless it's a game I know I'll truly love and the collectors edition is substantial. I just don't have room for more useless crap anymore.

#13 Edited by Dagbiker (6976 posts) -

The one that costs $20 more and has $5 more in plastic.

But being in print, i will say that the quality of the art books that they have been printing have been grade A lately. I just wish that they would let the ink dry before shipping them.

#14 Posted by pa21ris (149 posts) -

I got the steam edition because I got Bioshock 1 and Xcom: Enemy Unknown for free!!!!

#15 Edited by Dolphin_Butter (1915 posts) -

I'll probably download it off of PSN.

Regular edition

#17 Posted by djou (875 posts) -

I'm waiting. Having just been burned with the SimCity preorder, I'm willing to wait until the reviews break before I commit. IMO Ken Levine games are evergreen, Bioshock plays almost as good today as when it was released. If this game is worth a dame I can still buy it a year from now without any problems.

He's just troll'en for nerds as per usual. I'm not getting it either but just because the game doesn't really look that interesting to me and I didn't really like the first two Bioshock's.

#19 Posted by zenmastah (912 posts) -

Ive got the normal edition pre-ordered for some time now, cant believe i have to wait for seven days and i get to play it finally!

#20 Posted by Marcsman (3196 posts) -

Normal. All other funds are diverted the the PS4.

#21 Posted by The_Laughing_Man (13629 posts) -

Songbird for me. But I plan to give away the poster that comes with it.

#22 Posted by BoG (5189 posts) -

Just the game, for me. When I was in high school and my entire income could be dedicated to video games, I ALWAYS purchased the crazy expensive collector's editions. Now I have to pay for other stuff, so it's the standard edition for me.

ALSO: SO HYPED.

#23 Posted by TooWalrus (13197 posts) -

Standard- I don't need any mors physical media in my life (now watch me be a hipocrite by picking up carts of every 3DS game I buy.)

#24 Posted by Ravenlight (8040 posts) -

Whichever version I preordered from Steam.

Infinite is easily my most anticipated game of the last six months.

#25 Edited by isomeri (1275 posts) -

I got the one that was on GMG for 37,5 € with Bioshock 1 and 2.

#26 Posted by Dchao (54 posts) -

I'm buying the GOG version. Called System Shock 2.

#27 Posted by Vinny_Says (5708 posts) -

Can anyone confirm if the premium edition comes in a standard dvd box case for the xbox version? Like the typical green box for every other game. I just don't want non standard cases for my collection like steelbooks, that shit does not fit on my shelves.

#28 Edited by ImmortalSaiyan (4676 posts) -

If I do get it at all it will be the standard. Games are costly enough as it is.

I'm trolling? What? I see the similarities inherent to an FPS but the gameplay style seems pretty different in some major ways compared to Dishonored. Not to mention the art style. Early 20th Century architecture looks very different from Victorian era steampunk. To me anyway.

#30 Edited by President_Barackbar (3462 posts) -

I preordered the regular version on Steam since I didn't own XCOM. Now I got $110 worth of games for $60.

#31 Posted by rebgav (1429 posts) -

Whichever version ends up in a Steam sale in the next 6-18 months, I guess. Not a big Bioshock fan but the original videos for Infinite made the game look potentially awesome. Since they've spent a lot of time trying to tamp down expectations since then I've become much less interested in the game.

#32 Edited by spiceninja (3062 posts) -

I plan to walk into GameStop next Thursday and just buy the standard edition on 360.

#33 Edited by mlarrabee (2951 posts) -

I didn't want to make a new thread about this, but Amazon has a deal right now. If you preorder BioShock Infinite's PC Download option, you get XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Mind in Revolt for Kindle, and the Industrial Revolution Pack, but you also get a $30 2K Games credit.

With Steam you get XCOM, BioShock, Mind in Revolt, the Industrial Pack, and some Infinite-themed TF2 items. So if you don't already own BioShock, I guess you have to decide if it and the TF2 items are worth $30. If not, go with Amazon.

The IGN Exclusive Edition.

#35 Posted by Ley_Lines (252 posts) -

I'll rent it, it's a game I'll play through once so why buy it when I'll probably be done within a few days.

Im getting the one AMD is sending me for free for buying their video card, which is the standard edition, but its free, so yay, i have no idea how to use commas, yay!

Oh yeah. Well I mean, he's gotta maintain his reputation that he's too cool for all of us nerdz.

I just bought the regular PC edition on Amazon

Bioshock Infinite regular edition + credit for a free XCOM game + $30 credit for another 2k game

Since I don't have Borderlands 2 or XCOM on PC yet I essentially get them for free now

#40 Edited by DarkShaper (1333 posts) -

Normal Steam edition. I never played X-Com and I don't Have Bioshock 1 on steam so that was an easy sell.

#41 Posted by Redbullet685 (6044 posts) -

Just ordered the regular ol' Ps3 edition on Amazon.

#42 Posted by Donkeycow (556 posts) -

I want the songbird edition, but i'm still not so sure about this game, and if i end up not being blown away by it i'd feel i wasted my money on a 60 dollar statue. So i'm probably just going to wait to see how it is, and if i like what i see i'll grab the normal version and possibly grab the songbird statue on ebay.

#43 Edited by Klei (1768 posts) -

PC version. Wouldn't touch this game on those old, crummy consoles with barely 30 FPS, bad textures and framerate hiccups. I still like my consoles, but damn they can't run games for shit.

#44 Edited by Dalai (7029 posts) -

Getting 2 games for the price of one... can't beat that. Plus, TF2 hats! Haven't played the game in ages, but free hats!

#45 Posted by Canteu (2821 posts) -

No edition.

#46 Edited by Gamer_152 (14078 posts) -

Realistically, probably the standard one, can't be affording them fancy special editions.

The version that is on sale for $5 on Steam in a year.

#48 Edited by DoctorTran (1562 posts) -

I wanted the premium Edition but I guess Gamestop is no longer taking pre orders for it. :-/ I'll probably just Pre-order it on Steam just so I can get Xcom.

#49 Edited by lemonlateralus (102 posts) -

I went for the Songbird Edition! Preordered back in october and got the text today from courier that i'll get it tomorrow, cant wait! :)

#50 Edited by Klager (137 posts) -

I'll buy the regular edition on Steam, then I'll torrent a version with all the ridiculous pre-order stuff. I do this with every game that has several editions that makes it impossible to acquire every single piece of bonus material.
