Load times... eesh

I wish they'd at least give us something to look at or read on the loading screen. A picture, item descriptions, something.

Think I read that they are looking into improving loadtimes with a patch. But for now they are pretty long, even with an SSD. Almost as bad as Destiny's...

@voidprod: Yes patch 2 is suppose to address load times.

Exactly, they should've added some hints about the game mechanics since it is still a new ip or reading material about the world .

I'd kinda like a death counter that I could turn on ala Breaking Brad along with lore or other item info.

Load times are not that bad. Its like 8-10 seconds. Unless there is a huge difference between disc and digital.

Theyre definitely rough, hopefully that patch isnt far off

I really haven't found them that bad, I've played quite of games this gen that were worse.... MLB The Show 14, Destiny..

So, yeah don't die I guess. I'm pretty good at souls games so I probably encounter it less than others.

I've seen people saying that if you rebuild the HDD database it'll improve times. Couldn't vouch for it as I live in Europe-land and have to wait until Friday to play :(

man, back in the C64 days we used to sit beside a screeching tape recorder for fifteen minutes, i kid you not, then play the game for thirty seconds before it would crash, then you'd reload and sit there patiently for another fifteen minutes, not doing anything, just waiting, and listening to the screech.

They're working on a patch, who knows when well get it though.

Then you need to rebuild your database. Because I'm on digital also. And its 8-10 for me. It is no where near what you are saying. Not even close.

@hh: You bring back warm memories of waiting for Golden Axe to load. I always knew if I hit 20 minutes I had to restart the process.

For people having long load times on the Digital version, rebuild your hd database. It sped things up for me.

I feel like this story repeats with 9 out of 10 games released. At least AAA releases.

Just tried the rebuild the database thing, Central Yarnham takes about 22sec to load when it used to take 40, still not great but definitely better, hope the next patch helps things.
